Two words. Two words was all Jerek sagte after Tabra told him what Shropee told us. "I'm in." Those two words confined our Weiter job. With those two words, I was scared. With those two words I knew this would come out in a disaster. Those two little words told me many things. And they asked the familiars: who, what, when, where, and why. Well, just for a Sekunde until those two words brought me back into the conversation. Two words was all it took. Two words brought me to my death.
Here's what happened....
"I'm in." Jerek rose to his feet, and turned to face Tabra and I.
"You will?" I asked.
"He will?" Tabra asked me.
"Yes." Jerek answered us. "I will."
"Well, okay then." Tabra said, clapping his hands together in one clap.
"Our job is done." I said, and grabbed Jerek's arm. "Let's go back downstairs."
He hesitated, and then followed with a nod. "Okay."
We went downstairs, and sat at the bar where Shropee was waiting for us.
"Listen up, and listen closely. Around midnight tonight, we will all meet upstairs in the kitchen, and I'll explain everything. Then, once the clock reads six a.m., we will leave this place, geared up with weapons, all trained up and everything, and we'll go to the hospital, scrub in for a bit-"
"Wait! We have to scrub in?" I asked, knowing that scrub in means actually take part in surgeories.
"No. Did I say scrub in? I meant we will go undercover in scrubs, my bad."
"Oh. Okay." I said, thanking whoever helped me dodge that bullet.
"We will scrub in for a bit, then get the information from Tom and leave." She finished.
"Oh..." Jerek looked confused. "So, we are just going undercover as nurses and doctors to just get info. out of Tom?"
Shropee got a glass of water. "Yes."
"Then why do we need to go undercover?" He asked.
"Uhh..." Shropee was speechless. "Because I sagte so, now shut up."
If there isn't one thing about Shropee no one likes...well, there isn't. But if there was, it would be here lack of reasoning.
"Okay, now, go off to bed."
"It's only nine a.m.!" Tabra complained.
"Well, Du guys are getting up at midnight and staying up all the way from then." Shropee restated, and Tabra nodded.
"Okay." He walked off to the bunkers.
"Let's go." I told Jerek.
"No...I uh...I'll meet Du at midnight in the kitchen." He walked up the stairs.
Shropee put her labs down, and put a hand on my shoulder. "He didn't mean anything personal about that. Now, go to bed, Cyd."
"Oh...'kay." I went to Jerek's room in the basement, closed and locked the door behind me.
I set the alarm clock to wake me up at midnight, and then I slithered into bed. I wasn't tired since I just got pulled from the sheets not too long ago...so I cried until I did fall asleep.
