( Some of Du who have read my Zurück chapters know that in Renn and Jake's Life Chapter 23, I mentioned events of Nessie's "17th" birthday. I decided to write a chapter on the story of that event. I hope Du like it! )
I woke up and noticed that it was still dark outside, but I didn't care. Today I, and my family would officially consider me an adult. It felt so good, that I was just jumping with excitement.
I was tired of them making decisions for me. I wanted so bad to be free, and this was my chance.
I glanced towards the window, and could see just barely the reddish tint around the edges of the mountains.
My room was too hot, so I slid out from under the covers and quietly walked to the window. Once I was there, I opened it, and felt the breeze pour in. There was nothing like this for me. Nothing could compare.
Once I had my fill of the cool, I closed my window and quietly walked down the stairs.
"Mom," I shouted, no answer. "Dad?" Still nothing.
"Anybody?" Maybe they were all gone. They must have been hunting.
I finally came to the conclusion that they were not here, and walked into the living room. There were a few boxes on the fireplace and a huge envelope with my name on it. I knew right away that those were the new documents. I was really turning seven, so saying seventeen worked out nice. But they decided that a good gift would be to let me be "twenty-one". That is what kept me up all night with excitement. When Du turn twenty-one, Du can do so many things. Like drink, go to clubs, yeah those aren't the wisest choices, but I planed on spending my "twenty first" birthday doing new things, with the guy I loved. Jacob, yet another thing to be excited about. My parents had decided out of the blue to put a strict schedule on when and where I could see him. But now that I was an adult, there were no Mehr rules.
I looked back at the envelope and decided that I could take a peek at the documents. If I put them back carefully, no one would ever know I peeked. Yeah right, but I didn't really care at the moment.
The papers slipped out so easily, that I didn't have time to prepare for them. They all spilled onto the floor.
"Crap." I muttered to my self. But I wasn't going to let some stupid mistake ruin my day. But then I noticed what they were.
They weren't just birth papers, there was something else.
I slowly and carefully picked up the single paper that seemed out of place.
It was about some fancy school. A super nice college in Norway. But it wasn't just a flyer, it was an acceptance and promise to attend.
I was horrified that they would even do this to me. They would take the effort to ship me off to school just to keep me from Jake, and craziness.
"Ugg," I threw the papers on the ground in a heap. "how could they do this to me?" I yelled.
There were sounds of doors closing from a few rooms away. I marched straight to the back entrance and saw my family enter.
"Why, would Du do this?" I scream.
"Nessie," My mom started to reach her hand for me, but I stepped back.
"There is nothing Du can even say to make me forgive you." I turned and ran to my room, anger and tears both filling me.
I ran into my room and slammed the door. Once I was inside, I flopped out onto to my bed. The sun was just coming up now. I lifted my head to look out the window.
The trees were shaking in the wind. I wished the wind could blow me away. To some place other than Norway.
There was a knock on my door, but who ever it was didn't wait for my answer.
"Nessie," Mom's soft voice comes from the door. I lay my head back down, and didn't look her way.
"What." I mutter.
"I'm sorry but we-" I cut her short.
"You what? Are trying to restrain me for the rest of my life?" I then turned to face her and frowned at her sad expression.
She walks over to the bett and sits down. "No Nessie, we are just trying to protect you."
"Protect me from what? Because for all I know, your just making me Mehr miserable than I already am." I sat up and looked her in the eyes. "Do Du know that the time I get to spend with Jake, is the only time of Tag that I actually enjoy? I have been traped in a cage! And it is because of you!" I started to yell a little louder
"I'm sorry." She just muttered again. Then she left without another word.

"By killing you."
I jumped up and started walking backwards, how could I trust Tabra if he was going to kill me!?
"What?" I asked.
"I mean, I'll call them up and bring Du to them, after they think I'm back on their side, we pull out the big Pistolen and kill them before they kill us."
OH MY GOD, BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!!! Am I right? "Oh," I sat back down and we fished out our game plan.
Two hours later, we had a good, solid plan that will work perfectly...if they buy the fact that Tabra is "back on their side". It seemed like a good plan, and even though I knew that I'd be the main subject in this little cat-and-mouse game of deadly horror, I knew it was the best thing to do.
I looked at Tabra as he asked me if I was up to doing this. I looked him in the eye, and said, "Yes, I am."
