I had my family gather in a group to figure out what each family member can show. Liz sat about 5 feet away, so we whispered. Alice, Jasper and I would Zeigen her that some Vampire had a gift above all else. Emmett would Zeigen her the strength. Carlisle would Zeigen her the speed. Rosalie would Zeigen her the indestructability. Esme would Zeigen her the senses.
"Are Du ready,"I asked as I turned to face her.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
"First Emmett and Rosalie, they will demonstrate our physical strength and how impenetrable we are. Only vampire teeth and werewolf teeth can cut through our skin."
Rosalie got up and pulled Emmett with her. Emmett picked up a boulder that was at least three times his weight, then he threw it at Rosalie. She watched as the rock hurtled toward her, but obediently stood still.
Liz watched with wide eyes as the blond vampire just stood there, like everything was normal. Then the rock hit. It shattered into a billion pieces as it touched her skin.
"Wow,"Liz whispered as her already wide eyes got bigger.
"Now Carlisle will Zeigen Du how fast we can run, he's going to lap this clearing 5 times. So don't blink."
Carlisle stood up, then he took off. I watched as his 5 laps took merely 2 and a half seconds.
"You can run that fast?"
"Yes,"I answered greatful that she was still sitting there.
"What's next?"
"The senses, Esme is going to stand across the clearing from you. Du are going to hold up an amount of fingers from 1 to 5 and she will say what number Du are holding up. Emmett will be standing behind you, facing the same direction Esme is and he will tell Du what Esme said."
I nodded towards Esme and she flitted across the field and Emmett took his place behind Liz, who was now standing.
She held up 4 fingers, than Esme sagte 4 too low for Liz to hear, while Emmett sagte 4 loud enough for her to hear. She gasped. Then this continued in 1,3,2,5,5,4,2,5. She still had her mouth hanging wide open. I smiled.
She finally gave up.
"So, that's what Vampire do. What about Alice and Jasper?"
"Well Alice, Jasper and I are going to deminstrate some gifts that all humans bring with them when they become vampires. At least that is what Carlisle believes. Carlisle brought his compassion, Esme, her ability to love, Rosalie, her beauty and Emmett brought his strength. He is stronger than the rest of us. But Jasper, Alice and I brought something special, an extra power Du could call it. Jasper can feel and change the emotional atmosphere around him. We believe that when he was human, he could sense how some one was feeling."
I nodded to Jasper and we could feel sudden anger emerge from our very cores, then we were all calm. A very strange sensation.
"Did Du feel that?"
"Yeah, that was really weird."
"Alice must have had some precognition. She can see the future at will, like she can see Vampire best because she is one, she can see humans okay, because she was one, and she can't see Werwölfe because she never was one."
I nodded to Alice. She stepped vorwärts-, nach vorn and turned around.
"I am going to tell Du the future. I am going to tell Du the forecast. There will be a nice sunny Tag on Tuesday, and there will be a thunderstorm on Friday, so we'll be able to play baseball, and it will be dry up here, it will go around the mountains."
"Okay,"Liz replied, looking up at the sky.

"But on Tuesday, I'm going to take Du to a clearing and I want to Zeigen Du something else about being a vampire that I can't Zeigen Du now.
"And I can read minds, Carlisle thinks it's because when I was human, I was sensitive to the thoughts around me."

"Did Du ever listen to my thoughts? I mean on the way here especially,"she asked outraged, but with a hint of embarrasment hidden underneath.
I looked down, ashamed.
"Yes, I know what Du did, but I think your right, and if Du were a vampire, I have a feeling you'd have a power, I'm truly sorry, I just wanted to know you. I understand if Du don't like me anymore and if your mad, Du can still stay here, I'll just go somewhere else."
She stared at me in outrage then she took off running at full speed. I followed her, just to make sure she didn't hurt herself. She ran back the way we came, which surprisingly she seemed to remember perfectly.

She let the forest drown out her thoughts so that I couldn't hear them anymore. I still followed her through the trees and into the house. She ran upstairs and jumped on the bed, laying facedown. She cried herself to sleep.
