It's a Hunde name. Probably a common one.
I read the book in my language and there they translated not to Fido, but to a very beliebt Hunde name.

Fido is meant to be a common dog's name, though I know no-one who has named their dog Fido!

She carves Fido in the bowl because Jacob can transform into a huge wolf, so she relates it with dogs, and a commin dog name would be fido

fido cames from the latin word "fidelis", which minds "loyal", that's why is a common name for a dog, and Rosalie try to say that Jacob is a dog...
