What would happen to a vampire if they stop drinking blood altogether?

I don't recall Lesen about it in any of the books.

I know they'll get angrier and their eyes will go pitch black. I don't think they'd be able to handle it; they'll most likely overpower their own resistance to drink blood and the vampire attack the mammal oder person that's closest to him oder her.
