This could be interpreted differently Von the viewer. I noticed it in the theatre, but never really thought about it, in an analytical aspect before.

It shows how Edward fears for Bella's safety. He knows how dangerous this whole plan is, what with Jacob covering up Bella's scent. I think this shows that Edward truly hates it when they are apart, and vice versa.

Why else would Edward have been so grateful to Jacob when he and Bella finally reached the oben, nach oben of the mountain? He was purely sincere when he thanked him [Jacob].

Edward knows what they're up against. And even though he doesn't want to say goodbye [to Bella], he must. To keep her safe. Just like he did in New Moon.

Whether it was intentional oder coincidence, it's interesting. Whereas, the "Be careful"/"Always am" dialogue, that is intentional. Like father/daughter respect. Maybe it is Wird angezeigt that they get along, and that's their routine. Their relationship may not be as strong as Renee/Bella's relationship, but they have a mutual respect for the other, their safety, and their privacy.
