I slowly walked up the stairs to the attic. Placing my hand on the doorknob, I turned it and opened the door. Inside was my parents, hung, dead. I screamed, then everything went black.
I woke up in a cold sweat. The same dream had been haunting me ever since the accident. I opened my eyes to see the same white room I had been sharing with my roommate for the pass three years, Bailey. She was 18, but she saw the world like a 7 Jahr old. That was how she ended up here, in the “Safe Place”. I rolled on my side and watched her sleep. She was so peaceful, not like she was when she was awake. I watched for a few Mehr minutes, when her bright blue eyes opened and found mine. “Good morning Leena.” She stretched and propped herself up on an elbow. I nodded my “Good Morning”. Ever since that horrible day, three years ago, I had never spoken a word. The doctors sagte it had something to do with the shock. She got up and looked through the closet and picked up two shirts. “Should I wear the rosa one with the kitty, oder the yellow one with the sun?” I pointed at the yellow one. “Thanks.” She went into the bathroom to change. I got up and opened the blinds. The sun was shining and I was enjoying the warmth. I looked down at my wrists and rubbed them, remembering the Tag I got those scars. They were red and jagged, marking me as different.
In the common room, I found Bailey talking to my other best friend, Randy. Randy was paralyzed from the waist down from a car crash. He was here to get over the concussion he had received, it had left him with half of his memory wiped. I waved “Hi.” and sat down in the chair beside him. He waved back. “Hi Leena, how are Du this fine morning?” He always had a way of looking on the bright side of things. I wrote “Good. How are you?” on the notepad I had been gegeben when I first got here.
“I good. Bailey was just telling me that the staff has been planning a trip since we've been in here for so long.” I gave him a thumbs up. He smiled, and gave me a thumbs up back. We sat there talking, and Schreiben for a while when we noticed one of the nurses come in with another boy. “Everyone, listen up please. This is Zahyr.” Most people waved oder sagte “Hi.”
“Please make him feel comfortable.” The nurse sagte before she turned and left the room. Everyone went back to what they were doing, leaving poor Zahyr to stand alone in the middle of the room. Bailey was the only one that did anything. She walked up to him and said, “Zahyr, right? Anyway, want to hang with us?” He looked longingly at our small group before he smiled a little and came over with Bailey. “So, I'm Bailey, that's Randy and that's Leena.”
“I..it's n..n..nice to m..meet Du all.” He stuttered. We all looked at each other, he would fit right in with us. “Leena, can Du bring that chair over please.” I nodded at Randy and got up to get the chair. I went to grab it, when someone shouted, “Hey, that's my chair. So just leave it there Miss Silence.” I looked over to see Frederik. He was already in a chair with his group around him. He was here for anger management. I rolled my eyes before I grabbed the chair and brought it over to Zahyr. “Th..th..thank you.” I waved my hand at him in a “Don't mention it way.” He looked at me in confused way.
“She's a mute.” Bailey said.
“Oh...uh..ok.” He lowered his gaze to the floor.
“Hey, don't feel bad. I was the same way when I first met her.” Randy put his arm around me and gave me a little hug. We, oder I should say Bailey and Randy were filling Zayhr in on everything about this place, but I was busy figuring him out. He didn't look like the kind of guy that would have speech issues. He was pale, and had black hair with a bright red streak in the front. He saw me looking at him, both of us lowered our gazes and I could feel my cheeks going pink.

Life can be hard. Especially for me, Lily West, your almost-average 16-year-old girl. Most people think it's weird I'm bald. Others think I'm going to die. Then there's the occasional person who tries to take pity upon me. I'd rather they not, because some say it like I'm a helpless little schildkröte on its back. Sometimes I wish I die already, and sometimes I wish that I was a completely different person. Yes, it's tough having cancer. I just wish that they would respect me for a person instead of a helpless little bug.
I stood Von you,
Ever so proudly,
In the darkness of war,
Never betraying you,
Always Von your side.
I protected you,
Never let Du down when
Things got rough,
I stood Von you
Through Tag and night,
Summer and winter.
Stand Von me now,
Be my loyal friend,
Never falter when the Fuhrer
Shoots his nasty gaze down at you.
Be strong,
My faithful friend.
Be strong,
And protect me from the evils
Of the world.
Be strong,
Never falter,
And always have courage.
Go now, my faithful friend.
Run free.
Ever so proudly,
In the darkness of war,
Never betraying you,
Always Von your side.
I protected you,
Never let Du down when
Things got rough,
I stood Von you
Through Tag and night,
Summer and winter.
Stand Von me now,
Be my loyal friend,
Never falter when the Fuhrer
Shoots his nasty gaze down at you.
Be strong,
My faithful friend.
Be strong,
And protect me from the evils
Of the world.
Be strong,
Never falter,
And always have courage.
Go now, my faithful friend.
Run free.
Like Du don't have another care
Fight till the end.
Fight till the end,
Cuz Du got all ya power.
Fight like a trooper.
You've got hope
You've got strength
You've got Liebe on ya side,
So fight now.
Just fight now.
Fight till the end,
You've got all these people
Rootin for ya,
Rootin for ya.
You'll win the fight,
You'll freakin survive,
And you'll be proud
Cuz Du fought till the end,
And won it,
And won it.
Fight till the end,
You'll win.
Everything inside ya
Is powerful.
So fight till the end.
Just fight till the end.
AND FIGHT IT!!!
