Iris
I hadn’t been really surprised when we broke apart after that weirdness, being with them brought back all those memories. But I’ve been beginning to feel a bit lonely, all of us really bonded that day, and it feels like were sharing a secret. The bad part is that we don’t even know the secret either.
I still can’t stop thinking of that book, it just popped up from where the lightning hit. Something happened that made it do that.
“Hey Zaria,” I say as I walk up to her.
Zaria looks at me, surprised. “Hey, Iris. Du doing okay?”
I nod. “But, I’ve been wondering about something.”
Zaria snaps her head to me. “The book,” she says immediately.
I nod. “Exactly.”
“Come on.” Zaria grabs my hand.
I don’t ask her any questions, I just let her tow me to wherever she’s taking me. I don’t know why but I trust, with my life, it’s as if we’ve been Friends forever. She leads me to a room, a janitors closet.
“My uncle’s a janitor here, makes this place Mehr brighter, he won’t tell on me.” She answeres at my raised eyebrow.
I nod. “What are Du looking for?”
She’s digging through something, it’s piled with a lot of stuff to guess what it is.
“This,” she says triumphantly holding the book that’s been plaguing my mind in her hand.
“The book, you’ve kept it?”
“I had to,” Zaria insists. “Though I haven’t touched it since I hid it here.”
“Should we?” I ask.
Zaria srunches her brow. “I think we should bring everyone else here too.”
“Fine, but not here.” I say. “Why don’t we do this at my house, my parents are barely home, and my sibling’s actually have a life, oder are in college.”
“I reckon Du have a lot sibling’s.” Zaria says, grinning at me.
I nod. “It’s a benefit to us, our parents are so use to our craziness that something that would normally get Du grounded for a year, is something that would make us get extra chores.”
Zaria
I was pleased when Iris told me she believed me, it was a relief to finally here those blessed words. Right now were at her house with the other’s. All of us together again, it was quite exciting, I felt like I belonged, which is a first for me. I’ve always been a bit of a loner, and to finally have some people was nice.
“Were sorry for just calling Du out of the blue like that, but this is important.” I say.
Alex nods. “Got me out of chores.”
“I had to leave my Friends at the mall,” Terry said, but she didn’t sound that sad about it.
“Not like I had anything important to do, because come on, I have no social life whatsoever, but why did Du call us?” Stilere asks.
Iris and I share a look, and I nod. Iris claps her hand. “Okay, Du see, when Zaria and I were in the ocean, weird stuff were happening.”
“Like this book for instance,” I say, holding it up for them to see. “Right before it appeared three bolts of lightining hit that exact spot, and then it came.”
“And the moment we reached for it, the storm stopped.” Iris fisnhed.
Alex shrugged. “Freak accident.”
“Alex! Don’t Du get what were saying! That book saved our lives!”
“That’s impossible!” He protested.
“Yeah, and so was that storm.” Brooklyn piped up. “It came out of a sunny sky, and it was only near us. That book has to be the reason why it started in the first place. Are Du going to open it?”
“That’s why we called Du guys.” Iris explained. “Though it be fair.”
“Fine, fine, fine.” Alex said, walking up Weiter to us, and laying the book down. “Let’s see to it once and for all.”
The rest of the guys gather around us.
“Should we do it?” Mikey asks, eyeing the book warily. “It looks pretty old, and it sure doesn’t look friendly.”
“Let’s just open itm, skim it, and then be done.” Abe suggests.
“It’s not going to be that easy, but we can try.” Edith said.
“What’s the worst that could happen?” Darren asks.
Terry glances at him “Rule one in scary movies, never say that.”
“Here goes nothing,” I mutter as I open a book that lead could to nothing, and oh yeah, our doom.

Oh yes we do.
They are the treasures of the world
That we use.
It's not gold,
Zinc, copper, oder silver.
Oil, not even close.
They are
Courage, determination
How women could have their rights
Today
The treasures of the world
The one and only place
Where Du can find people
Of different color and sex
Where Du can find blacks,
Asian, Syrian, and Australian
Oh the people of the world
The treasures of the world
The treasures of the world
Use them wisely
Do not leave them in chains
For the people Du break
They will break Du back.
Oh the treasures of the world
(All the colors, all the people)
The treasures of the world
(All the colors, all the people)
The treasures of the world
Power
Du are possessed
Von this world
This so called better future
Is destroying you
At what cost
The fame oder the fortune
It isn't worth it
Haven't Du seen
The corruption
Power brings
Too much of a good thing
Becomes worthless in the end
Don't be like that
Help yourself
Save yourself from this
This unplanned future
Power brings one thing
Death
There is no way around it
It will soon take over
It will become your life
This power that Du long for
Shall be a death sentence for you
I wish Du luck
I hope Du see the way
The way I speak of
How power isn't healthy
And not apart of your diet
Turn away
From the temptation
That power can bring
Forget it
Forget everything
The money
The fame
The power
Don't look back
Behind Du is the head
The head of evil
The head of power
Du are possessed
Von this world
This so called better future
Is destroying you
At what cost
The fame oder the fortune
It isn't worth it
Haven't Du seen
The corruption
