***Part 1***

“Yeah, well, I won’t be here forever,” Yuri hissed as she pinned Duncan down Von his neck. He gasped and strained.
Around them, everyone of Total Drama Action stood around the Awards Ceremony tent, watching, desperate to see who would win this fight.
Duncan broke free of Yuri’s grasp and shook her off. “Not so useless now, huh?”
Yuri gritted her teeth. She and Duncan had been rivals ever since Yuri arrived on Total Drama Action... and well, they both didn’t like it that way.
Yuri flung herself at him; strong and wildly, and Duncan skidded against the ground. “Yuri!” He gasped. “You... don’t... have... to...”
For a moment, doubt and regret flashed in Yuri’s blue eyes, but anger took their place. “Yes, I do, Duncan. I’m surprised. Du should know that.”
She whipped her head around, and her long brown hair flew behind her, the blonde streak brushing against Duncan’s face. “Well, changed your mind, Juvy?” Yuri hissed. “Think Du can finally believe me, when I sagte that I could win?”
“In your dreams, Kawaii Queen!” Duncan snapped back, though he knew he was hopeless... against her.
But then, Yuri’s eyes filled with tears at her old high school nickname being used with such anger. “Shut up,” she whispered. “Just shut up.”
Everyone gasped as Yuri released Duncan gently as ever, and lowered her gaze until her bright blue eyes found the little dandelion on the gras, grass that seemed to be smiling up at her.
Go on, it seemed to encourage her, it’s leaves bristling in the wind.
Yuri brushed the dandelion softly with her fingertips. Then she stood up to face Duncan. “Shut up,” she repeated. “Don’t ever call me that again.”
Duncan looked puzzled. “What, Kawaii Queen?”
Yuri slammed into him with her fist with so much ferocity that Duncan staggered backward and flinched. “Yes, that,” she muttered, glaring. “Don’t.”
“But... why? I mean, why don’t you...”
“I said, don’t!” Yuri snapped. “Don’t ever call me that again.”

Though the two had been against each other and arguing ever since they met on the island, Gwen, Yuri’s best friend, knew that Yuri just-might-maybe have a little-totally-confidential crush on Duncan, despite her many denies. And as Duncan’s friend also, Gwen had the feeling that Duncan felt the same way.
“C’mon, Yuri!” Gwen nudged her best friend and Yuri sighed.
“What? I don’t like him, okay? I don’t.”
“Are Du sure?”
“Yes!” Yuri snorted. “Why the heck would I like that stupid, hopeless, pathetic criminal?”
It was Gwen’s turn to sigh. “You know, there’s nothing wrong with liking a criminal. Du have Courtney for proof.”
“I don’t care.” Yuri’s voice was heavy with emotion... oder whatever Du call that thick, feeling-full part of her voice. “I don’t like him. I don’t. Anyway, Courtney likes him enough for both of us. There’s no need for me to step in too...”
“Come on, Kiyurie.” Gwen stared into Yuri’s bright blue eyes and said, “You know, I’ve been thinking... I think Duncan may actually like you.”
Gwen knew she had caught Yuri off-guard when Yuri widened her eyes and bit her lip. “Do Du really...” she breathed, her eyes bright and hopeful. She shifted her feet. “No, no, never mind,” she sagte stiffly, realizing what she was saying. “I don’t care. And anyway, how would Du know?”
Gwen sagte nothing at first, she just fingered the little skull keychain that Yuri liked to keep with her. “I just do,” she whispered.

“Yeah, dude, go out there and tell her how Du really feel!” DJ encouraged Duncan as he gave him a push out of the cabin.
“What are Du talking about?” Duncan snapped. “And why bother? Every time I even bother talking to her, she snaps at me and walks away.”
I know it. She would do the same as she always does if I even talk to her. I say something, her eyes widen, I tease her, and she snaps at me. I like her, I just like her, and I do NOT Liebe her oder whatever. I don’t.
Duncan felt a push behind him, and he stumbled out of the guys’ trailer. “Whoa, what the heck?!” he protested. Trent grinned and locked the door.
Duncan angrily walked outside. Damn Du guys, he thought. Damn all of you!
And then, it started to rain. “Come on!” Duncan muttered to himself.
And he made his way down to the sheltered Awards Ceremony tent, where he sat, annoyed.
