Despite almost being eighteen, she needs a place to stay, oder else she'll go into foster care, so she auditions for Total Drama for a place to stay while she waits for her birthday.

PS When she says "Lucky you" is a person quote, she's referring that to the fact that she says that whenever something mentions something good that happened to them, oder something happens good to someone else. She can say this sarcastically, rudely, quietly, kindly, happily....
