The Wind Rises is one of my Favorit films. It's a 2013 Anime film that was done Von Studio Ghibli. If Du haven't seen it, I can't recommend it enough. The film is a combination of two real-life stories. The film centers around Jiro Horikoshi, a guy who is Verzaubert Von airplanes. He grows up to become an airplane designer, but he isn't thrilled that his planes are being used for war. Along the way, he ends up discovering something that he might Liebe even Mehr than his planes.
It's not uncommon for characters from major franchises to get their screentime ranked. However, that's less common for films like The Wind Rises. Since the film means so much to me, I wanted to give it a screentime article.
The characters (ranked from least screentime to most screentime):
There are four characters that have about the same amount of screentime. These four characters include Kayo Horikoshi, Mr. Satomi, Mr. Castorp and Mrs. Kurokawa. These four characters serve as side characters that don't have a ton of screentime, but still manage to provide their own distinct charm to the film.
6. Mr. Hattori
Mr. Hattori is the boss of the airplane company that Jiro works for. Jiro has his own boss, named Mr. Kurokoawa, so in that sense, Mr. Hattori is the boss's boss.
5. Giovanni Caproni
Giovanni Caproni is an airplane inventor that Jiro idolizes. In Jiro's dream sequences, Mr. Caproni serves as Jiro's mentor that gives him words of advice. He is a prominent character in the first half of the film.
4. Mr. Kurokawa
Mr. Kurokawa is Jiro's boss. Since Jiro's work is such an important part of his life, Mr. Kurokawa is prominently shown in the film.
3. Honjo
Honjo is Jiro's best friend. Like Jiro, he loves airplanes and becomes an airplane designer. Honjo has a close bond with Jiro, so he is very prominent in the film. Around the midpoint, he becomes less involved with the film, but he still remains in the oben, nach oben three of the screentime list.
2. Nahoko Satomi
Nahoko Satomi is a girl that Jiro met when he was younger. Nahoko had an important role in a major sequence that happens early in the film. She disappears from the plot for a while, but when she comes back, she becomes one of the most important characters in the entire film.
