Almost four years ago three boys going by James McVey, Bradley Simpson and Tristan Evans chucked a cover of Conor Maynard\'s \'Vegas Girl\' on YouTube. Cut to 2016 and not only do we have another recruit in the form of Connor Ball, but Maynard\'s a special guest on *their* tour. And this ain\'t any old tour; we\'re talking a massive arena tour that sees the lads perform to a casual 15-or-so-thousand every bloody night.

Yup - last night (when we were daaancin\') The Vamps performed the first of two London O2 Arena shows; and since we feel so heavily invested in \'em we had to toddle along to see what went down. Now we\'ve been lucky enough to see these lads live loads of times and always wonder how the frick they\'re gonna top the previous tour; so let\'s see if they managed it, eh?

(Oh, and this time the boys\' record label signings The Tide and New Hope Club joined them; essentially making it our absolute dream festival line-up.)

Even when we caught the boys on their first smaller theatre tour it was obvious they know how to put on a show; and this time round they\'ve properly kicked things up a notch. Again. Like, the stage is HUGE. In fact it essentially takes up the entire area with a runway and fancy little b-stage thing so those at the back don\'t get too pissed off.

There was fire, snazzy screen visuals and a HYDRAULIC PLATFORM THING Tristan did some drumming on so yeah; it\'s safe to say it was a right spectacle.

With two albums of proper solid material, we were kinda concerned some of our faves were gonna get the chop. Tbh, though, the lads managed to cram in the perfect mix of old classics and newer tunes off of the Wake Up album. \'Rest Your Love,\' \'Cheater\' and brand new single \'I Found a Girl\' tore the place down, \'Stolen Moments\' was just cute af, Tristan showed off his mad sick rapping skills to rival Silento on \'Volcano\' and the covers medley was EVERYTHING.

Justin Bieber? One Direction? Shawn Mendes? Are they trying to kill us or something?

In further news all the old singles were bloody brilliant and, no, unfortunately we didn\'t get My Chemical Romance cover and fan fave \'Teenagers.\' Even saw someone with a \'BRING BACK TEENAGERS\' banner down on the floor, so that\'s an idea.

Well The Vamps aaaabsolutely smashed it tonight didn\'t they?

​Absolutely everything about \'Kung Fu Fighting.\' Kinda weren\'t expecting it.

\'Somebody to You,\' which remains *that* jam.

James and Connor\'s cute acoustic set slap bang in the middle (\'Risk It All\' is still a fave.)

Tristan\'s drum solo which a) is always amazing and b) this time included Willow Smith classic \'Whip My Hair.\' Amazing.

The fact Brad has more energy than a five-year-old on fizzy laces.

\'Oh Cecilia (Breaking My Heart)\' feat. New Hope Club.

We were sat dead close to James, Tom, Charlie and Chris off of Stereo Kicks which was lovely. Cute they supported Reece Bibby and New Hope Club, innit?

Oh also they did \'Perfect\' and it was basically just that 🙌🏼

There was no \'Shout About It\' and that made us very sad indeed. Other than that, not so much.

They\'re obviously well popular and stuff; but The Vamps just deserve more credit for how amazingly talented they are. The stage presence, the songs, the spectacle of the whole thing. We\'re not sure how they\'re actually gonna top this next time, but if we know these boys they will. CAN WE GO AGAIN PLEASE?
