This is what TVD sells, amongst other things (the sexy girl next door, the sexy vampire brothers, triangle, etc). This is just take it up a notch in terms of marketing, it catches the eye of people, it sells. They did something different than the photoshoots they've been doing. When people compare TVD and True Blood, people say TVD is a good show and that TB is a good show AND sexy. Remember the Anna Paquin/Alexander Skarsgard/Stephen Moyer cover naked covered in blood? Well, this is TVD's version of that. Not to mention that a magazine like EW gave this little CW show that I love so much not one but · covers. THREE.
