It's tough because it seems to be pretty equal, but Stefan is a better person than Damon for the time being, so I would say Stefan loves Damon just a little more.

Stefan doens't love Damon more. A lot of the things that Stefan does are for Stefan. He doesn't do things for other people. But Damon, he does most things for other people. He has saved Stefan many times. Also keeping his true feelings for Elena a secret from her was always for Stefan. If he didn't care about Stefan he would have gone after Elena a longtime ago. When he told Elena that he loved her and then said how He doesn't deserve her but Stefan does. That was him being selfless. and he compelled her to forget for Stefan. Plus Damon loves his little brother. how could he not. he is his little brother.

Everyone thinks Stefan loves Damon more after he gave himself up to Klaus but I'm not entirely convinced of his motives yet. Was it because he loves his brother or because he felt guilt over turning him all those years ago and now that Damon is showing humanity he didnt want him to die. Was it to make up for what he did to Damon?
I personally think it was a mixture of both and I think Stefans character is great for that.

Yes, in the finale, Stefan WANTED to become the very thing he hated, he totally left town, his life, Elena and everything he cares about for him, it definitely had nothing to do with trying to save his brothers life.

In all seriousness though, I honestly thought that after the finale all of the "Stefan is selfish" arguments would be put to rest. Stefan is a very selfess character, regardless of whether you like him or not.

Back to the question, I would say it is very close, but I think at the end of the day, Stefan loves Damon more. Damon does love Stefan quite a lot actually, but Ian Somerhalder has said that Damon probably would choose Elena over Stefan, whereas in the finale we can see that when Stefan had to choose between Elena and Damon, he picked Damon.

It is a tought. I think its even but from what i've seen Damon loves Stefan more. Forexample. Damon doesn't manipulate him, he doesn't rub his failure in his face, and tbh Yes Stefan gave up all that to save Damon BUT he did it cuz he felt guilty for forcing him to turn not cuz he loves him.

I agree with RoswellGirl13 and deluv! Think about the flashback when Lexi came into the life of Damon and Stefan. Damon left but told Lexi to help his little brother after everything Stefan did to him until then. That's pure love for his little brother.
