Damon 4x18 - He's moment of weakness - Vampire Diaries

There is something that I realized about Damon is 4x18 that I didn’t write about in my Zurück post…
The fact that Damon starts the episode out Von saying:

“Elena without her humanity is a stone cold bitch, and I won’t trust her until we get the old Elena back”.
but then seems to completely forget what he told Stefan when Rebekah has the cure in her hands and asks:
“Go on Damon, Tell me why Du want Elena to have the cure”.

This may sound weird but I realized how absolutely beautiful his “moment of weakness” was because HE LOVES ELENA NO MATTER WHAT… human…vampire… humanity… no humanity… despite what she tried on him in New York…despite thinking that she’s a stone cold bitch… his moment his weakness… the thought that he might lose her if she takes the cure mattered Mehr at the moment then her bitchiness…

Then the reasoning he gives to Stefan is even Mehr beautiful:
“I thought for a second… literally just a Sekunde ‘If Rebakah takes this, then ALL my PROBLEMS go away’ and couldn’t think of one good reason to give it to Elena”

Meaning that he doesn’t think Elena is a problem… he doesn’t see her as something that needs to be fixed… he loves her despite the manipulation and stealing his car :)… he just loves her…no conditions
“And then Rebekah took it, and I realized out badly I screwed up”
Because he wasn’t thinking about Elena… his weakness is his selfishness… it takes a lot for someone to be selfless… it takes strength… so once his “moment of weakness” passed… he realized all the reasons she should get the cure… because she wanted the cure… no because she deserves the cure to have the life that she wanted…because she might do something that she would be able to take back…

Damon: …just like Du and I falling for the same girl… its our thing
Confirming that he is still completely in Liebe with her…
Stefan: It was our thing
Hinting that he isn’t… oder at the very least foreshadowing that at some point he won’t be… oder confirming that what he told Elena back in 4x11 “You don’t know what I look like when I’m not in Liebe with you” was the truth and that he isn’t in Liebe with her anymore

”Okay… okay, lets just get the cure and then, we’ll talk about Du riding off into the sunset all Von your lonesome”… because I’m not going with you… because I’m not going to leave her :) … beautiful, just beautiful
“You still want to get the cure… even if it means that Du might lose her”
“It a chance I’m willing to take, Stefan”

I think this may be the first time that Damon directly shows his selflessness to his brother… I think that Stefan is starting to see that Damon isn’t has selfish as he thought.
“I mean, Selflessness isn’t one of your most obviously character traits, Damon”
“Yeah, well, One of these days your going to realize that Du don’t know me half as well as Du think” -4x08
I think that this is one of those days… I think that Stefan discovering who his brother really is, is part of his storyline… part of the redemption and bonding for their relationship as brothers.

Caroline was sitting on her bed, in the sunlight. Though it was nearly noon she wasn’t dressed yet. The moment she got Home she had jumped into the dusche and stayed there for hours. It wasn’t until her mother threatened to cut off her phone she got out. Liz Forbes was still under the impression Caroline had spent all that time with her father, so as much as she would’ve wanted to curl up against her mother’s warm body and cry, she had to pretend everything was okay. Katherine stepped over the many corpses that were spread all around in the hotel. She had a gruesome feeling these were not just Klaus’ victims. Apparently Klaus and Stefan had killed the entire staff and all the guests and now used this as a place to hide. Bonnie put out the lights and headed to the stairs, when the door smashed open and Damon grabbed her throat. In a reflex she lifted her knee and Damon immediately let go of her. He gasped and grabbed the Wand to restore his balance.
“I am so sick of Du Vampire grabbing my throat” she hissed. “It’s hard enough having Du in my life, I don’t need Du to touch me”

Derek Janders. The name sounded familiar, but try as he might Damon could not figure out where he had heard it before.
“Let me buy Du a drink” Derek said. It Mehr sounded like an order than a friendly gesture. He conjured his wallet and paid two whiskeys, after compelling the bartender not to ask his ID.
“Who turned you?” Damon asked, not touching his drink.
“Does it matter?” Derek answered with a question. “Look, Du wanted me to tell Du what I wanted, so here it is. I want Du to train me, educate me in the world of vampires”
Now Damon drank to wash away that information....

My Thoughts on SE as 'Soul Mates'

Before Du read this please understand that this is purely opinion. I'm not saying that it's fact that SE aren't soul mates...but to ME they aren't. Feel free to Kommentar your own views. I'm very curious to see what everyone else thinks. I tried not to be too biased, but obviously it has come through. Also, I am not bashing SE!
