As soon as he hears your voice, he turns around, and stomps off in the other direction.

“What the hell?” Du call after him, running to catch up. He was a lot bigger than you, his strides were longer, but Du caught up to him.

“Hey.” Du try again. No answer. He just stares ahead of him.

You step in front of him. “What the fuck is going on?” Du ask, eyebrows raised.

"Hey Soda! Du got mail!" Darry called from the kitchen. Du put down the comb and sat at the tabelle as the letter is tossed in front of you. Slicing open the envelope Du begin to read, "Sodapop Patrick Curtis. We would like to announce that Du have been drafted into the United States of America Army and will be a part in fighting the Vietnam War. Your departure datum will be the 23 of May and will be a 4 Jahr term. This is an extraordinary honor and we wish Du the best. Sincerely, The United States Government" Du slump in your chair and begin to shake. May 23 is only a Monat away....
