On April12, 2720, Katniss Everdeen from District 12, volunteered as a tribute, replacing her younger sister, Prim. Also local bakers’ son Peeta Mellark was chosen as District 12’s male tribute. April 17, 2720 marked the Tag of the opening ceremonies where our united couple showed off all ablaze. Their flamboyant costumes triggered a frenzied reaction from the crowd.
Cinna, their stylist, cleverly designed the outfits to be set on fire. This gave the appearance of burning embers, which perfectly captured their Districts coal mining industry. As if their entrance was not enough, riding hand in hand, Peeta and Katniss showed the feuer in their hearts. On April 23, their feelings for each other were confirmed. A stunning Mellark told the Capitol of his Liebe for Ms. Everdeen, stealing not only her herz but all the hearts of Panem. As the game progressed the Capitol was continuously thrown for a loop. In the beginning it seemed any chance of romance between the young ill-fated Liebhaber had ended. Gale, a cousin of Everdeen's said, “Katniss is smart enough to know not to fall for the cheesy Liebe of some baker’s boy, I believe in her.”
Von that time, Peeta had teamed up with the enemy career tributes. Their Liebe was rekindled when Peeta saved Katniss from the sword of Cato, from District 2. Haymitch, their mentor responded to Gale’s Kommentar saying, “I think they should hold onto their love. It may be rather inconvenient gegeben the circumstances, but I think it will help them win.” So it did. A new rule allowed two tributes from the same District to win. It gave Katniss and Peeta the edge they needed. Everyone wanted to see their emotional connections. What the star-crossed Liebhaber had created was pure magic. Just when Katniss and Peeta thought they had won, they were forced in a situation of Liebe over life. The rule was revoked and the meaning of the Hunger Games came back into play- kill oder be killed. When all hope seemed lost, this cunning couple fought back, not willing to risk losing the other. Driven mad with love, suicide was attempted as a desperate measure to save one another.
It seemed Katniss and Peeta would get their happily ever after when game makers relented and accepted it was best to let them both win. Tonight the Capitols favourite District 12 tributes will be reunited live on The Caesar Flickerman Zeigen channel 2246, NWCB (National Capitol Broadcast). Du are not going to want to miss it.
