yea i think Johnny Depp would be good but my first thought was for Robert... i guess it was becasue i never really considered Johnny Depp to play the part... hm...

I think that people like Johnny Depp and Jack Black would steal the show way too much... I think a smaller-scale but good actor should play Haymitch because he's not as much of a main character. That's what I love about the Hunger Games casting... they aren't very well known actors but they are still very, very good without having the whole familiar face thing. It's hard to imagine characters you already know in different character's bodies so it would be better to have characters that you can only relate to as them, not as the characters in a different movie or TV show. That's just my opinion. Jack Black would be hilarious though!

hugh laurie would be amazing for haymitch! he already plays house, who has a close personality as haymitch!

If Jack Black played Haymitch, that would've ruined the whole movie(not that I don't like Jack, I just think Haymitch's thoughts "run too dark" to have the Kungfu panda guy play him.)

Woody was so good at that part, though Depp looks too young for the part. I also agree with thetribute.
