I understand that everyone likes different shippings, but have Du ever seen those Fans that are so into shipping that they skip part of the book? The ones that the first time the go through the book they just look for hints of their OTP (One True Pairing)?

I have a few things that annoy me about this:

1. It's an action story with some romance.

I know people say this a lot, but if Du look it up Von genre it's not a romance. I'm not saying there should be no romance in it, I'm saying don't get to influenced Von the romance Du forget the plot.

2. The relationships influence the plot.

Given, they aren't always romantic, but relationships influence a lot of endings in Riordan's books.

For example, Luke's bond with Annabeth is what snapped him out of Kronos' control and saved them all. Percy being grounded to mortality Von Annabeth made him able to become invincible.

3. Logic.

I know it's a book, but I'm okay with almost every shipping as long as there is some logic to it.

Some excuses for shippings aren't well thought through gegeben the circumstances.

Example: Someone once told me that 'Rachel and Percy would make a good couple now because she is the oracle'...but if she's the oracle she has to remain a madien which would greatly effect what they could do in the future.

Again, I'm Mehr of a canon person, but as long as Du have some logic.

In summary, don't focus so much on the romance that Du don't care about the plot anymore.
