Ah, Fan fiction... What can I say about Fan fiction? Its a great escape when done properly, and perfect for those oh-so-long periods between books. So, for those of Du who write these great escapes, there are rules, just like the rest of the spot, that need to be followed. If you'll kindly read below we will go over these simple, common sense rules, and then Du can get back to writing!

1.Chapter stories should go in the forum. Short stories (one chapter stories/one shots) go in the articles. It is annoying having to Suchen out Artikel to find the specific chapter Du are looking for. Von keeping chapter stories in a specific thread it is less confusing, less troubling, and a whole lot easier for people to navigate and find the chapters they are looking for.

2.Please use proper grammar/spelling. Nothing can bring Du out of a story Mehr than trying to understand what the Autor is saying. If Du would like someone to review your piece for Du to make sure it is virtually mistake free, oder Du just want someone to let Du know if it sounds good, send me a PM.

3.No crossovers! Sorry guys, but Edward Cullen and Zoey Redbird have their own series' and their own Fanpop spots, so please keep all non kanone characters far away from here, unless they are original characters. The only series' that should be included in your Heroes of Olympus fanfics are PJO and HoO. If Du want to write crossovers, please visit a different spot oder site, Fanfiction.net is a good place for crossovers! Any Crossover fics that we find will be reported.

3.NO LEMONS! No one wants to read a story about nothing but doing the dirty, so please save your lemons for another site. If Lemons are gepostet they will be reported. Du have been warned.

4.Do not abandon your stories. I look at stories like children, abandoning them is wrong, and it is annoying to get into a story and never get to finish it because someone got lazy oder bored. If Du don't plan on finishing your story, then don't Veröffentlichen it.

5.Please put a rating on your story. We never know who is Lesen our stories. We wouldn't want a little kid Lesen something we wouldn't want Grandma to see, would we? Please use the rating system below:

YC- suitable for kids age 5 and up (No violence, bad language, oder adult themes.)

C-suitable for age 10 and up (Mild violence, no bad language and no adult themes.)

YA-suitable for age 13 and up (May contain violence, and some bad language)

T-suitable for 15 and up (May contain violence, bad language, and some adult themes)

M-suitable for 17 and up (May contain violence, bad language, and adult themes)

6.Please use an informational form. Although creativity cannot be contained and is sometimes sloppy, please use a proper form for the informational part of your story (the part that lets everyone know what your story is about and all that jazz.) Please use the form gegeben below. (This does not pertain to short stories, please see the form below the first one.)

7.No bullying. This really pertains to people who Kommentar on your story. If Du Kommentar on a story, please be nice, and if Du insist on criticism make it constructive. If Du don't have anything good to say, don't say it at all! Violators will be reported!

8.Let us know when Du Veröffentlichen a story oder a chapter! Go to the Wand and post a brief message to get the news out that your story is up! Don't be obnoxious about it though, don't spam oder anything, one message will do it.

9.HAVE FUN! Your story is just that, yours. The whole point of Fan fic (in my opinion) is to have fun and get all those crazy thoughts out of your head. Don't let anyone push Du around. Du do not have to accept requests, Du do not have a deadline for publishing, and there are certainly no limitations (other than the ones above) on your story. If someone is trying to tell Du anything different, Berichten them oder let me know.

Ratings

Although nothing makes an Autor feel greater than having someone tell them what they like about a story, they still want to know how well the story was received Von everybody. That's where ratings come in. Du know how to rate an article, but when Du post a chapter fic in the forum, there is no way to rate it. I've devised a system to let the authors of chapter fics know just how much Du liked a piece. So, Du know those emotes at the bottom of the reply form at the bottom of the page? Well, they are nifty little things. So my idea is that depending on how well Du like a chapter in a Fan fic Du choose an emote that is equated with numbers on a rating scale (1-10.) The Scale is as follows.

1-Angry (the angry face)This is the worst rating

2-Sad (Has a frown...not the crying face)

3-Hmmmm (has a half frown)

4-meh (no smile, but no frown...straight line)

5-monkey (It's a monkey...)

6-smile (The regular smiley face)

7-big smile (The face with the big ear to ear grin)

8-cool (The face with the sun glasses)

9-kiss (The face with the puckered up lips)

10-heart (Self explanatory) This is the best rating

If Du want to make an Autor feel especially happy, give them a prop. Use the Kommentar prop, and let the Autor know what Du like!

Alex13126 ^Girl, thank you very much. Sheesh. As other people've already, crossovers have already been made, and therefore can't be deleted. The point of the rule is that no other crossover forums be made. By the way, calling someone "retarded" will not make a situation even better. Do you even know how offensive that word can be to some people?

Amphitrite Oh dear gods, these rules have been around since the beginning, just do your best to follow them and if you don't have anything nice to say about them, remove your fingers from the keyboard and go elsewhere...why people b!tch about stuff when they know it will get them nowhere is beyond me, but I'm telling everyone right now, the next person who pulls the word "retarded" out is going to get a very big chunk of my mind. Its offensive!

icuSTALKER @Lt_Pupster Alex13126 is a girl, not a guy, first off. And secondly, rules are needed to the club isn't overrun by fans of other books who don't even like Percy Jackson. No one hates abrown. I'm perfectly fine with him. All I'm trying to do is help him see the other side of the story. No one is trying to be mean here. It's fine of you don't see how the rules work and disagree with some. But not following them is another thing, as they were implanted here from the beginning. I believe users have the right to ask, debate, or try to point out why a rule is invalid. If they find your point reasonable and one that may help the club, perhaps they will take it in. Otherwise, these rules stand, as Amph and her group with Roheha were her first, thereby having the initial liberty to make the foundations of the rules. Please refrain from offensive words. 'Retarded' means mentally dysfunctional, or so I've been told, and no one on this site or Fanpop for that matter is like that. Fans appreciate non-hurtful language directed at them. Starlight1o1 @Rickfan as stated earlier if you made a crossover you can keep it. The rules are to help regulate the club and stop more crossovers from being added. I hope this helps.

Leos_girl Um, hi. I did not know that there were rules for writing fanfictions on here. Honestly, I think it's a bit obnoxious. If someone really wants to write a crossover or something like that (like I did), I think it's their right to put it on here. You don't have to look at it. It includes the fandom, so why is it such a bad thing? Besides, it's not like there's a club devoted to Percy Jackson AND Harry Potter, which is what my personal fanfiction is about. And fyi, I've gotten some very good feedback on that story here, even though it was crossover. Also, its totally not your place to regulate whether or not someone continues a story. Maybe they got writers block, or no longer had time to continue, or had a better idea and decided to start a new one. If you really want them to continue, ask them, maybe help them out a little, but telling them they can't write a fanfiction on here unless they continue is bogus. Besides, maybe they went into it thinking they'd be able to continue and put it up but never got around to the rest of it. This is a community, and I feel like people have a right to write whatever they'd like as long as it pertains to the club. Thank you.

Nicolicious ^I agree with the not be aloud to create a Fanfic if you can't continue. The only gripe I have about your point is the whole Crossover thing. There has been a club made dedicated to Crossovers so you could post it on there if someone shouts at you to remove it. The point of not having crossovers on here is because one half of the fanfic is this fandom and the other half isn't.

Leos_girl ^Then what about the polls or questions like "Who would win in a fight, Annabeth, Katniss, or Hermione?" That only pertains 1/3 to this fandom. It's like a double standard or something.
