Anywhere is!
Hi guys, it's been coming to 11 years since I had watch the movie and read the book. So, here are my thoughts and comparison on both the book and the movie adaptation.

The Book

Like in many Fantasy Bücher like Harry Potter that I had read, the book have many twist and very unpredictable. The story also made several references with the bible, like when Aslan is about to be sacrifice, it mirrors the Crucifixion of Christ and the Resurrection.
Susan and Lucy are like the 2 Mary, when I heard that it was banned in certain countries because of this. I was initially surprised Von this news.

The Movie

The film is 100% faithful towards the book and I Liebe the scenery, the Schauspielen were superb and bravo to the actors themselves!
While Schreiben this, it makes me want to watch the movie again.

On to Narnia!

Spoiler alerts, if Du have neither seen the movie nor read the book, go ahead!

I miss you Susan!
Okay, I have read the book 10 years ago, many were not very happy with the last book called the Last Battle that Susan was absent, so here are my thoughts on whether if she is going to be in the final book if they were going to make a movie of it.

Susan should be in the Last Battle

As mentioned, I wasn't happy with the ending of the Last Battle. In fact, the book also came under criticisms from famous Autor like J.K Rowling for promoting sexism. I couldn't agree more!
Many Fans took to Fan fiction and wrote their version of the ending itself, so for my case I would personally think that Susan should be in the movie version of the Last Battle. If some lucky person initiate a petition regarding this, I will be one of them to sign up!

Susan should not be in the Last Battle

Unless if the petition is denied, then we have no choice but to watch the movie instead. I would definitely dislike the movie even Mehr if she is not in the film, despite that she was mention in it Von her siblings.

I was on the site The Lion's Call last night, and came across a Narnian 'Good Idea, Bad Idea' list. I thought it was quite funny, so I thought I might post some of it here.

Good Idea: Meeting Aslan
Bad Idea: Checking to see if his mane is real.

Good Idea: Visiting a newly-made world
Bad Idea: Visiting a newly-made world with a witch and your crazy uncle.

Good Idea: Wanting to send your children somewhere safe, sicher during bombing raids.
Bad Idea: Sending your children to a place where they have access to an evil witch, wolves, and talking animals.

Good Idea: Making plans to attack your enemy country.
Bad Idea: Making plans with children hiding behind the sofa listening to your every word.

Good Idea: Being Friends with a donkey. (Puzzle)
Bad Idea: Being turned into a donkey. (Alas poor Rabadash)

Good Idea: Trying to reach Narnia through a wardrobe
Bad Idea: Trying to reach Narnia through a microwave.

Pull back...aim...fire!*twang...thud* the black beast fell to the ground. "Ha! And Du thought Du were invincible. I, Lucy Pevensie, swear on Aslan's mane that no beast of the White Witch shall ever get past me!"
"Lucy, look out!" Edmund called. She swung around, with her sword in the air and chopped the fuzzy beast's head off. "Ha! Take that! And tha-"

The door opened, and Alanna's big brother, Jacob walked in. The door shut and Alanna whirled around, and dropped the pool noodle. "Are Du still playing that stupid game?"
"It is NOT stupid!" Alanna stomped her foot
"Yes, it is! Narnia isn't real!"
"How dare Du say that!" she shouted. "Narnia IS real!"she said, sounding kind of hurt. Her brother noticed this, but decided to keep on going. "What makes Du think Narnia is real?" he asked,, his voice a lot softer than the other times.
"Because I've been there," came the answer, that was barely a whisper.
"What? Nonsense!"
"But it's true!" Alanna insisted.

"One word, Ma'am," he said, coming back from the fire; limping because of the pain. "One word. All you've been saying is quite right, I shouldn't wonder. I'm a chap who always liked to know the worst and then put the best face I can on it. So I won't deny any of what Du said. But there's one thing Mehr to be said, even so. Suppose we HAVE only dreamed, oder made up, all those things--trees and gras, grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself. Suppose we have. Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a goid deal Mehr important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours IS the only world. Well, it strikesme as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when Du come to think of it. We're just Babys making up agame, if you're right. But four Babys playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That's why I'm going to stand Von the play-world. I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia. So many people have seen this movie and Liebe it, I am one of those people. What makes TCON so good? Well many things, for one thing Du have the acting, it is very well done. Also the computer generation, Aslan looks like a real lion, and not alike a stupid cartoon lion bob cat thing. Also the Christian faith behind it, it is just like Jesus when he died on the kreuz and rose again. (for those of Du who are slow, that is exactly what Aslan did. In the first movie, Aslan died be the evil Queen lady then he rose from the dead.) This movie really has an impact on Christians, they can really appreciate the Jesus analogy in the movie. If Du have not seen this movie I highly suggest it. Expessially if Du are a Christian.

The world of Narnia was finally destroyed some two hundred years later during the reign of King Tirian, son of King Erlian and seventh in descent from Rilian.
A talking ape named Shift constructed an elaborate conspiracy in a selfish attempt to change Narnia to his liking. Von dressing a donkey named Puzzle in a lion's skin and claiming him to be Aslan, Shift began surreptitiously to gain control of the country, forcing inhabitants to do his bidding in the lion's name. He then made contact with the rulers of Calormen, inviting them to conquer Narnia for their mutual advantage. Calormene soldiers under Captain Rishda Tarkaan soon arrived, and Von the time King Tirian learned of the ape's treasonous plans, they were well on the way to completion.
With the help of Eustace and Jill (who arrived in time to rescue the king from capture), Tirian attempted to rally Narnia and drive out the invaders, but the divisive effect of the false Aslan and the capture of Cair Paravel Von a Calormene fleet rendered his efforts unsuccessful. Tirian and his remaining supporters came to a last stand against Rishda's army at the Battle of Stable Hill, where Tirian was defeated. But in the course...

I'm here to say it is not!
The Weiter movie will be The Magicians Nephew.

fuchs (instead of Disney) decided that they will be skipping the Silver Chair and just going on to the Magicians Nephew.

I am very sad that the Pevensie will not be there.
I think another reason they are doing TMN is because many people say it is their Favorit book after LWW.
fuchs is hoping that TMN will have a better turn out than the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

The heartbeat of Africa is strong tonight, the joyful and ancient rhythm echoed Von bare feet and drums. Shadowed figures of all shapes and sizes dance around the light, Singen and swaying with the flames. Their voices rise in crescendo with the drums, hands and faces lifting to the sky, higher, higher...and then swinging down again into the Weiter verse of the wild song, the beat getting faster.

A young man with the wisdom of two worlds in his eyes looks on, humming along under his breath and trying to keep from trembling. He has never seen the Deep Magic so raw and undisguised before; not since he watched a Lion sing a new sun into existence and felt the weight of a life-giving apfel, apple in his hand, years ago, in another Place. A Place that is not so different from this one as he used to think.

The stars above Mitmachen them in their Musik and movement, silent, but no less joyful; and all of creation - every universe - is connected in the rhythm of their Creator.

bär in mind I didn't make this up, I just copy and pasted it.
(WARNING: This is very long)

Synopsis

The four Pevensie children return to a wild Narnia, about a 1000 years after their Zurück visit. Aiding the rightful heir, Prince Caspian, in his attempt to overthrow his usurping uncle, Lord Miraz, the Pevensie children succeed in freeing the rightful people of Narnia and restore it – with the aid of Aslan.

Film in General

Compared to the first film (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) directed Von Adamson, around 3 years ago, Prince Caspian is a `darker` film, to be sure. However, concerned parents should not be put off Von the action packed trailer. While many do die, blood and violence is definitely not focussed on – leaving the message of the dangers of war still strong, without, what some would consider, unnecessary gore.

CG usage and Schauspielen abilities has also risen favorably in this film – with a solid cast now used to Schauspielen within the world of Narnia. The children are believable in their struggles (personal oder national), the new Narnians we are introduced to are engaging and the Telmarines are...

“They could see that it was a tall girl, dressed in a single long kleidungsstück of clear blue which left her arms bare. She was bare-headed and her yellow hair hung down her back. And when they looked at her, they thought they had never before known what beauty meant.” –The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

He could never clearly describe how he fell in Liebe with her. It was too wonderfully strange to explain; something that couldn't quite fit into human words.

All he knew is that when he saw her, he saw her. It was as though someone had pulled back a curtain and granted him a glimpse of something inside, behind and beyond what his five senses told him. Whenever she looked at him, he forgot all about her golden hair and slender figure...for what he saw in her dazzled him far Mehr than mere physical attraction could.

OMG. Aslan save us all.
Numerous sources are reporting that once again, another writer has stepped in to write the script for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie. The newest choice will come as a surprise to many. Autor Stephenie Meyer, the woman behind the New York Times Best Selling series Twilight, has been tapped to take the latest crack at the story.

“She can help bring a lot of fresh ideas to the table,” says one source. “She can also help bring in audience members. People know who she is far Mehr then CS Lewis.”

“Lewis represents the ideas of the past,” says a Sekunde source. “Meyer represents the future. This is the perfect blending.”

There is a bit of concern that some aspects of her books, namely vampires, may find their way into Narnia. However sources close to Michael Apted and Douglas Gresham insist that both men will work tirelessly to rein her in properly.

“There will be no sparkly Vampire in in my movie,” sagte Apted. “And Edward Cullen won’t be in Dawn Treader either.”

Susan Pevensie
In The Last Battle, Susan was the only Pevensie that survived the train wreck on Earth which sent the other children to Narnia after the Last Battle. Susan choses not to return to Narnia. Peter says that she is "no longer a friend of Narnia", and (in Jill Pole's words) "she's interested in nothing now-a-days except nylons and lipstick and invitations." Eustace Scrubb says that she said, "What wonderful memories Du have! Fancy Du still thinking about all those funny games we used to play when we were children," and Polly Plummer adds, "She wasted all her school time wanting to be the age she is now, and she'll waste all the rest of her life trying to stay that age. Her whole idea is to race on to the silliest time of one's life as quick as she can and then stop there as long as she can." So, Susan does not enter the real Narnia with the others at the end of the series. It is left unknown whether oder not Susan's absence is permanent, especially since Lewis sagte elsewhere that "The Bücher don't tell us what happened to Susan. She is left alive in this world at the end, having Von then turned into a rather silly, conceited young woman. But there's plenty of time for her to mend and...

This goes out to all my fellow Narniacs who booed (or at least grimaced) at the infamous Suspian KISS of Doom in the movie. And Dr. Elwin Ransom wrote this on NarniaWeb, so don't thank me (or hate me, depending on who Du are) for the brilliance and dead accuracy of this parody. IT'S NOT ME.

In case Du haven't figured it out Von now, this is sung to the tune of "The Call". Enjoy, rate and comment, duckies!

The Wail

It started out as a feeling
And then our annoyance grew and grew —
As Susan and Caspian locked their lips
We knew the rumor was sadly true.

And then our screams grew louder and louder,
'Til they were a banshee cry:
Don’t let it back
In the sequel!
Because it's not canonical!

Just because the plot is changing,
Doesn't mean there won’t be a
Collective Fan roar.
Now we can do what
We should have done last time:
Go online and start up a war!

bär with me, im about to go nuts criticizing Narnia Fan fiction here. ok *deep breath* here i go... i have nothing against the Fan fiction itself... i write some in fact, but some Fan fiction stories about the Pevensies... are...well... let me put it this way.... IT IRRITATES THE *beeeeeeeep* OUT OF ME!!! im serious. there are a lot of good Pevensie fiction out there, but there are sooooo many stupid stories that deserve to be burned!!! ...except...well... Du cant do that online.... Du can Kommentar your criticism but no one pays attention to that.... anyway... i just finished Lesen one retarded story about Edmund Pevensie. Edmund is my Favorit character in the series so that's why i got so pissed off. The writer of the story put another character from our world in the Prince Caspian book, a girl. A sixteen Jahr old girl, who loves to swear, sing songs about sex, and she loves to complain. Naturally, i disliked this character from the start, but in the story, Edmund "checks her out", "spies on her when she's undressing", and "makes out with her when she's naked". Disgusted yet? I was. The Autor of the story completely mocked Narnia and the Pevensies, making Edmund AND Peter...

Happy belated anniversary, mom and dad! Du both know how much I hate romance, but this stupid plot bunny wouldn't let go of me. So it is with much Liebe that I grudgingly present to Du this giftfic...

“I hope it stays clear tonight,” Susan murmured, glancing out the window as she swept the last of the cookie-dough crumbs off the countertop. The küche was a marvelous place when kekse, cookies were baking.

All around her were dark, disfigured shadows, covered in red from the glare of the torches and the blood of so, so many... A rhythm thumped dully in her ears, but it was not a drumbeat. Rather it was a single, terrible heartbeat, pounding out a pulse of evil joy...

“Did Du think that Von all this, Du would save the human traitor?”

She gasped and struggled, a sick feeling twisting inside her...

Aslan! Make me stop! I'm trapped! I can't do anything!

“You have gegeben me Narnia forever...”

Aslan, HELP! Someone stop me, please!

“In that knowledge, despair...and DIE!”

NO!

Lucy bolted upright in bed, panting, feverish tears leaking from her eyes. Struggling to grasp the difference between Reality and Nightmare, she stumbled out of the mess of lacy bedspreads and silk pillows and dashed across the room to her mirror. She had to know it wasn’t real.

The wide-eyed reflection swept the damp hair out of its face and ran shaky fingers over arms and hands. Lucy sighed and the panic subsided slightly, but the last horrible image held her...

Barbara Kellerman as 'The Lady of Green Kirtle' and as 'The White Witch' from the BBC TV series, 1989 – 1990.
Some readers believe that the White Witch and the Lady of The Green kirtle are the same person. So before Du disregard it, keep in mind that it is a possibility. Their are arguments for both sides. First off, two witches are mentioned Von name in the Narnian books, the White Witch (Jadis, empress of Charn, oder the "White Lady") and the Lady of the Green kirtle (or "the Green Lady"). Long after Lewis's death, character sketches appeared in later editions of the Bücher that seem to indicate that these two witches are the same, but these are not according to the Autor C.S. Lewis.

Proof that they are they same person - Jadis was never killed until in The Silver Chair. She appears in three of the Chronicles of Narnia books. This quote is from the Silver Chair, it's talking about The Queen of the Underland. ..."That this Lady of yours must be a long liver too, if she remembers the verse as it was when they first cut it."... just like the White Witch was there when the stone tabelle was. The White Witch is sweet and kind to Edmund at first, just as the Lady of kirtle is to Eustace and Jill. And they both want to rule Narnia. Some think that Jadis is the last Queen of...

I became shallow and empty; more concerned about my outward appearance than my inward beauty.
Greetings, friend of Narnia, and thank Du for coming to hear my story. I know people are anxious to know what happened to me; so I have decided to make an attempt at tying up all the loose ends for you. (And please pardon me if it’s a little rough. I wrote all this in a bit of a rush.)

My name is Susan Carmichael, though Du probably know me as Susan Pevensie. But I’m happily married now, to a wonderful man that even my over-protective brothers would approve of...if they were here. We already have one beautiful daughter, who’s three years old, and another little one on the way. I am happy and satisfied with the life I have...and in case Du are wondering, yes. I am still homesick for Narnia. But I can bär it now. I am at peace and content to wait here, in my world, until Aslan sees fit to call me Home. “But Nurse, I'm not...not...tired...” The five-year-old trailed off into a yawn.

The old woman raised her eyebrows and chuckled. “Not tired, eh? We'll see about that, young prince.” She reached down to where he sat on the rug among his toys and hoisted him up with a grunt. “Gracious, child; either I have the strength of a frog oder you're getting heavier.”

“A frog!" he giggled, clearly delighted with the idea. “Froggies! Ribbit, ribbit, rib--” He ended in a small hiccup and blinked sleepily. Nurse chuckled again and lightly tweaked his nose.

“Speaking of frogs (whether they ‘ribbit’ oder ‘hiccup’), one of these days I'll have to tell Du about Marshwiggles.”

“What are...what are marsha-wiggles?” he asked, cocking his head to one side and putting a finger in his mouth.

“Not marsha-wiggles, Caspian. Marsh-wiggles. And don't Du go chewing on your fingers now,” scolded Nurse, pulling his hand away with stern gentleness. “You'll make your pearly-whites go all crooked if Du keep that up, and I highly doubt your tastebuds appreciate it as it is.”

[i]My dearest child,

Do Du know how much I Liebe you? oder how deeply I know you?

I know your name, your Favorit pastime, your worst fear. I know what Du love, and what Du hate. I chose the color of your hair and eyes. I know the number of hairs on your head, the number of days you'll live, and every secret in your heart. I know every detail of your past, what you're doing, saying and thinking right now, and what your future will be. I know your deepest thoughts, dreams and desires. And I know the longing Du have; the longing to escape and find a better, greater world. A world that is found within the pages of seven particular Bücher you've loved and cherished and read cover-to-cover, over and over again.

I saw the hope in your face each time Du knocked on the back of every closet in the house, and the disappointment when Du walked away, shaking your head and smiling sadly; your mind telling Du that it's only make-believe, but the aching in your herz crying out for the other place Du know must exist somewhere...the place that is your true home.

What is your testimony?

Who are you?

What kind are you?

Are Du an Edmund? Addicted and greedy for the sweets and pleasures the world offered you, perhaps Du sought Liebe and affection in the wrong people when Du thought Friends and family treated Du harshly. Maybe Du betrayed someone oder something for the sake of yourself, for that pleasure oder affection Du craved.

And it was only because of Aslan's sacrifice that Du were saved. Von His grace and Liebe for you, Du are forgiven and blessed...a condemned traitor no more, but a member of royalty.

Are Du a Jill? Have Du danced on the edge of danger to impress someone oder brought a friend down because of your foolishness? Did Du ever find yourself so terribly thirsty, only to find that the stream has a Lion Weiter to it? A Lion who wouldn't go away, who was not safe, sicher and never promised not to hurt you?

And then Du looked everywhere for another place to drink and discovered there is no other stream. Du were horribly afraid and wanted to dash away, yet Du came...and Du drank...and found it was the purest, loveliest, most...

Prince Caspian
The Sekunde installment in the Narnia franchise, adapted from C.S. Lewis beliebt young-adult Fantasy novels, is slightly darker than THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (2005), which is not to say that the first film is all sunlight and daffodils. But it does end with the implicit promise that, thanks to the courage and cleverness of the Pevensie siblings, human youngsters who rise to the challenge of righting a world where it's always winter and never Christmas, all wrongs have been righted for the foreseeable future. CASPIAN is predicated on the less comforting notion that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.

London, 1941: It’s been a Jahr since Peter (William Moseley), Susan (Anna Popplewell), Edmund (Skandar Keynes) and Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) made their way to the fairy tale world of Narnia, where they overthrew a wicked witch and became the much-loved kings and queens of a kingdom populated Von fauns, centaurs, talking beavers and all manner of marvelous creatures. In the real world of war-torn England, they’re school children from Finchley, but they cling – some Mehr than others – to the memory of their Verzaubert lives as warrior royalty,...
