i love johnny depp!

i dont really pay tht much attention, like i dont compare characters, i think of movie each as thier one little world... (i kno, im weird)

Sweeney has elements of both Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands...

he had the look of edward scissorhands, the brains of sleepy hollow and the accent of jack sparrow lol

all in all a great mix :P

I know! I was watching it and I was like, "bloody hell, its Captain(sp?) Jack!" then later during the whole beach fantasy(sp?)I saw Edward Scissorhands in him. It was so funny! and now that you say it I do get a Sleepy Hollow feel from it too!

Yes!!! haha. while i was watching it with my aunt, we kept on spotting scene and looks that he would give that reminded of of Jask Sparrow! haha. he played excellent in Sweeney tood, But the Jack Sparrow will never leave Johhny!

I agree. You see some points during the movie Jack Sparrow aspects come out. I think his personality is closest to Jack so when he acts those little bits of Jack in him just get out. In his other movies you can tell Jack is still there.

The only other movie with him I watched is Pirates of the Caribbean and I don't think this role is very similar. So I can't tell.

That is one thing that I found really interesting. Sweeney was like his own character, you couldn't even see Johnny Depp in there, like the Mad Hatter. Its like he gets so wrapped up in his characters that he like transforms then all of a sudden isn't Johnny Depp anymore. lol Now thats acting.

all of his characters are original in a way... still, yes - they have some things in common.

I saw a lot of Edward Scissorhands in that character. Sweeney had the hand movements and the way he cut before and after. It's like Edward never left Johnny. It was so cool!!!
