Daniel stepped onto the streets ahead of him, packed with different families doing their regular thing. One of the families Daniel knew. A familiar face stepped out of the car - his best friend Jonathan. Jonathan's mother caught a glimpse of Daniel in the corner of her eye. She turned round with a smile on her face. "Hello Daniel! How are Du today?"
"I'm fine thanks, how about you?" Daniel answered politely. "I'm very good thankyou. I suppose you'll be wanting to see Jonathan?" she asked him.
"Er, yes please." He walked over to greet Jonathan.
"How are Du Dan?" Jonathan asked. "Your mother just asked me that! Anyway, I'm fine!" Daniel joked. "That's good to here!" He replied, "So Du ready then?" "Yeah! Let's go get Tommy!" Daniel replied before they both raced off to find Tommy. After passing many houses with their own unique themes, they finally reached Tommy's house. It was a rather small house as he only lived with his mother,Joan and his sister,Mary. Tommy's father was fighting in the war and he missed him dearly. Whenever they got mail, he gets worried incase there's bad news, but there never is. Tommy doesn't like to boast about his father, especially as Daniel hasn't got one anymore.
Daniel and Jonathan made their way up the path towards the front door. Jonathan raised his hand to knock on the great black door in front of them. The knock spread through the house like a fire, following through each wall, into Tommy's ears. He sprinted down his wooden stairs, and made his way to the door. It opened with a creak. "Hi! Are Du ready!? We don't want to keep the girls waiting!" Jonathan sagte cheekily, whilst nudging Daniel, who was also giggling. Tommy shook his head in a 'what are Du like?' way, but smiled too. "I'll just say goodbye to my mother and we'll be off. So off he went to say goodbye, and after a quick KISS and hug, he was out the door and into the town.
"So, Du heard from your dad recently?" Daniel asked recently. Tommy didn't want upset him but didn't want to sound rude so he answered him anyway. "No not really. I got his last letter a Monat ago, but I'll probably get one soon. Du know what the army's like! They don't send the letters until weeks later!"
"Yeah! I know what you're saying. I've still got dad's letters. I don't look through them though, I don't have the nerve." Daniel said. There was an awkward silence. None of them knew what to say. Luckily, the silence was soon broken as a shy, quiet voice was heard from behind them...

Chapter One: I walked across the Merdog strand in my blue v-neck bikini. I walked towards the shore-line. Hunde were all playing together at the wonderful dog beach. "Lucky!" I called to my 6 Monat old German Shepperd,"Here boy!" Lucky came zipping towards me and knocked me over into the clear water.
I laughed as I sat up in the ankle deep water."Oh boy!" I laughed, "Are Du hungry? Are Du hungry? I bet Du are!" Lucky's tail wagged like there was no tomorrow. I ran up the strand to the Dog Shack.
"Hi Rosie! What can I get Du today?" sagte the young employee, Jackson. "Can I have the steak tips 'n' gravy, please?" I sagte smiling at the cute boy.
"Sure! This time I'll trow in a mango smoothie free." replied Jackson. "Thank Du so much!" I sagte happily. Mangoes were my Favorit fruit. "Hey Rosie do Du have any plans for tonight?" asked Jackson. "Yes. I am going to abendessen with Carson. Why?" I said.
