I really feel the need to schlagen, punsch the crap out of whoever wrote "has one of the worst possible voices". Because that is so untrue. Steven's voice beats all the Beatles combined.
I really don’t want to see this happen. This is like when Avril Lavigne covered “Fuel” at the Metallica MTV Icon airing (even though Metallica sucks), except this is Steven Tyler, who arguable has one of the worst possible voices to replace Lennon and Harrison alongside Paul (he’s probably even worse than Ringo). It's like asking Joe Cocker to cover "Ave Maria."
McCartney called upon the Aerosmith frontman for a konzert set to take place tonight (December 5th) in Washington D.C. at the Kennedy Centre Honors, and requested that he cover four tracks from the Beatles’ 1969 album Abbey Road.
"I got called up Von Paul McCartney and he asked me to sing the last four songs of Abbey Road so I sagte 'Umm OK.' (I'm) doing it," Tyler told 95.9 WATD-FM. "So I'm headed down to the Kennedy honors in Washington."
The last four tracks on Abbey Road, so that means “Golden Slumbers,” “Carry That Weight,” “The End,” and “Her Majesty.” Words can’t describe.
On a Mehr positive note, McCartney is en route to D.C. to be awarded at the ceremony alongside singer Merle Haggard, composer Jerry Herman, and Oprah for his contribution to American culture over the years. He’ll be joining the ranks of Bob Dylan, Elton John, and other members of the cultural elite.
