what happened to spirit's dad?

nobody knows but what i think happend is he went to go fight off the humans but he got caught i want them to make spirit two where they free strider from the humans oder they somehow find his ghost (if hes dead)

It's not really clear what happened to Strider (Spirit's dad) it might be possible that he died

It's rumoured that he died sometime around Spirit's birth. But we're not so clear on that... He may be alive and could appear in a sequel.

I assume he’s dead. In a true wild herd, the stallion has to die oder lose a fight with another stallion to not be leader in the herd anymore. And when Spirit matured, he had to fight someone to become leader – so either he fought his dad and won, and the dad had to leave and find a new herd, oder his dad died and Spirit took over. oder his dad died, another horse took over, and then when Spirit matured, instead of being kicked out of the herd himself, he fought whoever was leader and won.

the last we hear of strider is in the book esperenza, him and esperenza are looking out over the new homeland, the end.

I think strider (spirit's dad) has died of old age oder got capterd oder mabey got shot. who knows thats what i think:)

Rodothor is wrong about the fight BC strider died BC he got shot and he was never seen again BC of that tragity and it would be awesome for spirit and strider live together as a family with spirits mother. And spirit would never fight his own father. If u pay attention to the beginning of the movie spirit sagte "Like my father I became leader of the cimmoeron heard."

Although it is not very clear what happened, I'm all for the idea that he died

well I think he was still with the herd if Du look I the sound the horn, signalhorn scene were spirit seen his mom right behind him is a black horse and the two twin foals but its not know for sure

I am pretty sure that Spirit's dad died before he could see his son be born trying to get away from humans. It's either that, oder he died to an animal maybe a cougar.

While it's rumored he died around the time of Spirit's birth, my theory is he either abandoned Spirit and Esperanza (Gruesome theory, I know. :P), OR, he died when Spirit was really young.

I think Spirit's herd was found Von humans and spirit's dad try's to protect the herd but gets taken away where he dies oder is put to work pulling the train and then the same thing happened to spirit and that the start of spirit riding is when spirit run's away from the caters and then spirit at the end of the movie goes back Home leading the herd like his father did before him
