Because people in Filme never have common sence. Besides that was one little match, in New York City, no one would ever think to remember every guy who volunteers to fight to see if he might be a super hero later. It's New York City, now if it were a small town, then it would narrow it down a bit, but a small town is not a place for Spiderman.
