Chapter four: That’s Chells
Location: 66 Jazon Ave, Lexistropolis
Date: Sunday, November 30th 4337
Time: 8:51 P.M.

Tess and Zen Solomon, had finally made their way back to their neighborhood, panting and sweating; trying to think of an excuse as to how they would explain being at Lizzy’s house till eight thirty, of which they were to be home, and then heading off to go help their parents finish moving a friend into his new house. They knew that their parents would be cross; they just didn’t know how they would get out of it.

When they arrived home, there was a note on the dining room table.
“Tess and Zen,
Du didn’t Zeigen up in time so we had to go without you. We’re sorry Du couldn’t come. There are some corndogs in the freezer if Du didn’t eat at Lizzy’s house. We hope that Du had a good time. We will be back around 10:30.
Love
Mom”

The two chameleons gave a large sigh of relief. They were saved, for now. They had been so busy earlier, that they did forget to eat, and they now starved.

Tess shoved some corndogs into the microwave, while Zen flipped through the different TV channels, hoping that there would be something on. Eventually he found a cop show, which seemed half interesting, so that’s what they watched for the Weiter hour.

When the Zeigen was over, the two of them cleaned up their mess of catsup and corndog crumbs, then went off to bed. They didn’t sleep much. There was too much stress about the police officer, Lizzy and all the mysterious stuff they didn’t know about her, the school blowing up, the school work they would have to make up for, and the fact that they now had to go to a different school, of which they knew almost no one, and would probably have to pay around five thousand dollars to be transferred into.

The following morning the two chameleons were woken up Von the ever-loud blaring of their mother’s increasingly loud voice. The both jumped out of their beds, fell onto the floor, then ran out of their rooms, mumbling to themselves “The pain the pain the pain the pain.”

Once they had made it downstairs their tired eyes, and injured arms were happily greeted Von a smiling mother, a half awake half asleep father, and pancakes. The two teens quickly poured on their condiments and dug in. Zen was just beginning to gulp down some orange saft when Mrs. Solomon asked “So, where were Du last night?” Tess froze, while Zen spat out his saft all over his breakfast.
“Uh… Lizzy’s?” Zen nervously answered, as he walked his plate over to the sink.
“But we went over there to get you, and Du weren’t there.” Their mom revealed.
“Well… yeah. We weren’t there the whole time. “Tess admitted. “We took Lizzy’s car out and-”
CRASH! Zen had dropped his plate, all over the floor. The pieces were everywhere. Everyone turned away from Tess, to scold Zen’s clumsy behavior.
“Sorry. I’ll clean it up.” Zen weakly sighed, as he slowly went over to get a mop.
“So where were you?” Mr. Solomon asked.
“We were… AT THE MOVIES!!” Tess loudly fibbed. “We didn’t know how long it was gonna be, so we didn’t get back in time. They did the whole ‘silence your cells’ thing so we couldn’t call Du guys, then when we had finally dropped off Lizzy, she sagte that her parents didn’t want to waste any Mehr gas, so we ended up having to run back home. Sorry.”
“That’s… okay.” Mr. Solomon cautiously said, half from surprise, and half from disbelief. “What movie did Du see?”
“Uhhhh… The double dare.” Tess fibbed a Sekunde time.
“Oh, they sagte that was a good movie. What was it about again?” Mrs. Solomon inquired.
“Uhhhh… it had a bunch of paperclips in it?” Tess tried to fib a third time, just before covering her face with her palms, knowing that she was sunk.
“Paperclips?” Mr. Solomon sagte in confusion. “What were Du really doing?”
“Dad, we really just went to see the movie.” Zen intervened. “You see, Tess and me accidentally fell asleep about three Minuten in. We were so tired from the run over to Lizzy’s house, plus we got like two hours of sleep the night before.”
“Why didn’t Lizzy wake Du up?” Mr. Solomon continued to press.
“Because she… KEPT HAVING TO LEAVE!” Zen saved. “She sagte that she had to go to the bathroom, which apparently there was a long line for. She came back after about half an hour, then because we had fallen asleep, and she missed so much, we decided to just leave, and come back another time.”
“Ah. Well then now that you’ve had a good night sleep…” Mr. Solomon walked over to a large filing cabinet and pulled out two large stacks of paper. “… Du can do some school.”
“But… that was tomorrow.” Zen groaned.
“You two are now juniors in HIGH SCHOOL.” Mr. Solomon announced. “You can’t just go without making up for the school Du missed. Each of Du needs to finish these before tomorrow if Du want all your old classes back. Depending on how well Du do, will determine if Du get to continue. Plus some of these are ahead of Du in the school year, so Du will have to catch up quite a bit. But also some of them are a bit behind, so Du probably won’t have to do any of them for a while. The school also wanted Du to look up the information in the bibliothek if Du need help, not on the internet. And don’t worry about the cost. Insurance is gold.”
“WHY DIDN’T Du TELL US THIS TWO DAYS AGO!?!?!?!” Tess screamed.
“BECAUSE we hadn’t gotten the papers yet.” Mrs. Solomon defended. “And we couldn’t yesterday because, and I quote, ‘You wanted to spend time in freedom while Du still could.’ Du didn’t give us the chance to tell Du until three. Then Du left to go see Lizzy.”
“Yeah But Du still could have called us oder something.“ Tess groaned.
“But Du were at a movie, remember?” Mr. Solomon recalled. “You have till about… ten tonight. You’re starting at eight A.M. You’ve got fourteen hours. If Du concentrate hard enough you’ll probably get done in time for dinner.”

Both parents left the dining room, and started out the front door.
“WHERE ARE Du GOING!?” Tess yelled out.
“TO GO SEE DOUBLE DARE!!” Mr. Solomon responded. “WE’LL BE BACK!! BYE!”

Both teens stood there frozen; as if they were going to die. Their faces remained blank. They didn’t Bewegen for almost five minutes, then finally Zen yelled out “DOH! We’ve gotta call Lizzy about this!” He ran over to the phone book, and after about three minutes, Lizzy’s house phone was dialing.
“Hi Zen.” Lizzy answered calmly.
“How did Du know we were calling?” Zen asked in surprise.
“Two words. ”Lizzy responded. “Caller ID. So what’s up?”
“Brace yourself.” Zen advised. He told Lizzy about the issue with the school, and after a whole four Minuten of panicked groaning, and information, Lizzy finally sagte “Oh, that. Yeah. I did that yesterday.”
“HOW DID Du DO ALL THAT WORK YESTERDAY!?” Zen yelled over the phone.
“My ears just took a cab to the Weiter planet.” Lizzy scoffed. “They sent some E-mail once your folks told the school that I wasn’t dead, so I printed the info and did it. It wasn’t that hard. Took me all of the night, but it was only like ten pages.”
“TEN PAGES!!??” Zen exploded. “WE’VE GOT LIKE TWO-HUNDRED!!!”
“ZEN!!! EARS!!!” Lizzy yelled back. “Let me put it this way. Du guys had been going to Lexistropolis high for like ever. I moved into that school recently, so I didn’t have to catch up on as much. Did Du call the Cop guy yet?”
“Uhhh… no.” Zen weakly groaned. He looked over at Tess’s, who was still in shock, and noticed her hand. The ink was gone. He turned back to the phone consul area, and began banging his head on a cupboard door.
“Well don’t worry.” Lizzy reassured. Zen stopped banging his head. “I wrote the number down when I got home, and called the guy this morning.”
“And…?” Zen pressed.
“He sagte that he saw Mr. Lenard talking to the chalkboard, then put something in a book. Probably the Phantis… file… thing… Anyway, when he saw him ease-dropping, he knocked him out, then threw him out the window, right Weiter to where we found him. But when he told the chief, he sagte that Lenard had left two hours before the time he sagte it happened, so he was told to ‘tell the truth’ which we all know was impossible, so he was fired. We caught him just in time. They sagte he was moving to Avenox. See ya.”
“NO WAIT!!!” Zen was too late. She had already hung up. The chameleon boy and his sister, who was still in shock, finally went over, grabbed their stacks of paper, and headed out the door, towards the library. It was a long day. The Weiter Tag would be even longer. It was Monday. Tomorrow was Tuesday. The Tag when they went to Ravenpoint high for the first time.

The following day, neither Tess, nor Zen, nor even Lizzy was happy to be going to this “new school”. Zen packed a map of it just in case they got lost, and a bunch of cash, in case there was going to be some jerks there. Tess packed a large amount of snacks, from kekse, cookies to carrot sticks, being convinced that the Essen would be terrible. Lizzy packed her knife. SMILES EVERYONE.

When their parents dropped the three of them off, they quickly found each other then started off through the large gates concealing their new Quelle of knowledge. To their surprise the school was actually quite large, and nice looking. The quad was huge, and the inside wasn’t messy, oder had narrow hallways, oder anything bad really… so far.

They got their classes, of which Tess and Zen were in all of together except art, while Lizzy was in only one of the classes that they received. They all walked into the gym, where the principal was giving a big announcement, about how they were to treat the “new comers” with respect, and equality.

One hulking bär dude turned to Zen and sagte “I’m pretty happy that we’ve got some newbies.”
“Really?” Zen inquired, in disbelief; noticing that the large thing in front of him thought that he was not one of the “newbies”.
“Yeah.” The bär said, pounding a fist into his palm. “Fresh meat, if Du know what I mean.” Zen was in shock again for another two minutes.

After the speech was over, the three companions left into the large crowded hallways trying to find their first class, even though the principal announced that they were being gegeben a half Stunde break, to settle down. Yeah… good luck.

On their way, we were stopped Von a large crowd. They shoved through and saw the bär dude holding one of the school’s students in his fist. “I said, are Du one of the new wimps?”
“N-n-n-no!!!” The victim nervously answered.
“You better not be messing with me.” The bär boasted proudly.
“NO!!!” The kid in the bear’s fist defended.
“Cause Du know Du don’t want to mess with me right?” The bär said, bringing the kid closer to his face, as if we were going to throw him backwards.
“I would.” A shadowy voice from the crowd called out. “Anyone as ugly, and smelly as Du just begs for a good beating.” Everyone turned to see who had just signed their death warrant. The figure moved through the crowds, until he was right in the middle of the “ring”.

The challenger a light orange fox, wearing dark-blue jeans, a grey T-shirt, a black hoodie, and black shades. This was Chells. Tess, and Zen froze, while Lizzy leaned vorwärts-, nach vorn anxious to see what was going to happen next.
“Who are you? Wait I know; DEAD MEAT!” The bär insulted, dropping his former prey.

“Really?” Chells questioned. “I thought that was your name. oder has your hygiene gegeben Du other names like ‘what is that smell’, oder ‘did someone vomit, oder I know; ‘It’s… alive?’. I can’t decide which one Suits Du best. oder maybe Dead meat is good enough.”

“Enjoy using those lips while Du can foxy!” The bär dude lunged his fist at Chells going at full throttle. Chells quickly ducked under, and swiped his legs, causing him to fall. “The name is Chells. Though I can’t really expect someone with your IQ to call a male fuchs ‘foxy’ and know that that is meant for females.” He then moved back, allowing the bär to regain his stance.

“You’re a guy?” The bär insulted. “I didn’t notice with the hair, and lack of man.” He lunged at the witty fuchs a Sekunde time, this time while keeping his legs out of distance. His fist was stopped half way through. Chells was holding his in midair. The bär pushed and pushed his fist forward, trying to shove the fuchs backwards. “And people say I’m blind.” Chells concluded before letting go of the fist, while at the same time, moving to the side, causing his opponent to go face front into the hallway wall.

The bully fell down to the ground, with his nose bleeding. He got up, and shoved through the crowd, charging to the nurse’s office. No one sagte anything. Chells turned to his right, walked through the crowds, and into another hallway.
“So… that’s Chells huh?” Lizzy asked rhetorically.
“Uh… yeah.” Zen said, as he once again went into shock.

The crowds settled down eventually, and everyone went back to their busy traffic lines. Lizzy finally was able to coax Zen out of his state, and they were off. “So, why didn’t Du tell me Du had a friend ninja?” Lizzy teased the two chameleons.
“Uh… because we didn’t.” Tess groaned. “We knew he had a lot of talk, but we never saw him back it up like that.”
“Thanks… I guess.” Chells said, appearing behind them.
“HIDAHIDAHIHI!!” Zen yelled, jumping forward, and landing on his face. Tess and Lizzy jumped a bit as well, then helped Zen up again.
“How did you…?” Lizzy asked… sort of.
“I saw Du three, so I followed you?” Chells responded as if it was a dumb question. “So, you’re Lizzy: messer wielder of doom.”
“How did Du know about my knife… oder me for that matter?” Lizzy asked defensively.
“I want to say something like ‘You’ll never know’, but really it’s kind of simple. I saw Du three running from one of the guards, so I followed. Then when I saw Du break into the class-room, I thought I might turn Du in, but it wouldn’t really have mattered seeing how the whole school went boom a little bit after that. You’ve got skills with blades. Oh, and I’m not a ninja. I just don’t like bullies.”
“Now do Du see why this guy is like perfect for Du Lizzy?” Zen stupidly blurted out.
Lizzy simply gave Zen the death glare, while Chells gave the classical “WHAT!?!?!?!?” Either reaction, Zen was cooked.
“I’m not blind, I don’t look like I’m a dark nerd, and I’m not emo!” Lizzy said, walking over to give Zen a good slam in the face.
“Since when am I Emo?” Chells asked, trying to distract the furious female, while trying to also ignore the insults. “Let’s just get this over with now. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER… would I consider that.”
“So Du don’t like Lizzy at all?” Tess pressed.
“I think I’ll go with the line ‘I want my layer’, thank Du very much.” Chells sagte just before leaving the small group. As he was leaving he heard a small “WHAM!”. He later saw Zen with a large red bump on his head about two Minuten later.

As annoyance would have it, Chells ended up being in three classes that Lizzy was in. When they had finally reached the third class, which was geometry, Lizzy found a note in her schreibtisch which sagte “Please hit him again, for my sake. Oh and ‘don’t worry. I’m not going to go along with whatever evil plan Tess comes up with.”

Lizzy wrote back with “What evil plan?” The response was “The one where they try and pair us up, and make all of us end up looking idiotic.” Lizzy then sent a note back saying “They wouldn’t really do that would they?” The final response was “Would she had made a drawing of Du in art class and labeled it from me if they wouldn’t?” The final response Lizzy gave back was “Help!!!!!!!!!!!”

Both Lizzy and Chells spent the remainder of the school hours, and Tag convincing the two chameleons that they would NEVER want to be together, as well as avoiding each other at all costs. Fortunately, Tess and Zen did give in, but Tess did ask how she knew about the picture. Lizzy just told her that that’s what Chells said.

“I TOLD Du HE WAS SOME KIND OF PSYCIC!!!” Zen exclaimed as they all sat in the Solomon’s living room, sipping soda.
“So let’s go over this one Mehr time okay?” Lizzy began. “I AM NOT IN LOVE, I DO NOT HAVE A CRUSH ON, AND I AM NOT ATTRACTED TO IN ANY WAY, AND THE SAME GOES FOR THE OTHER PERSON, TO CHELLS!!!! GOT IT!?!?”
“YES! FOR THE TWELFTH TIME!” Tess groaned.
“I just don’t want Du guys going all matchmaker on me.” Lizzy said. “I have no intention whatsoever on falling in Liebe for a good long while. And if I did, I’ll have Du know that I wouldn’t want to be with a blind fox.”

Lizzy spent that night restless. She knew that she had made them promise, and everything, that they wouldn’t try to pair her with Chells, but she just simply didn’t trust them that much. But she was finally relieved when, while she did see Chells on occasion around the campus that week, neither he nor the chameleons did anything to try and pair up Lizzy with him. The only words that went between them were “Hi”, and “Bye”, and even then they only greeted each other once.

Finally they had forgotten about Chells, and continued on to the Weiter week of school, which was surprisingly easier than what they expected. That was, until their calculus professor chose to do a pop quiz. Tess received a B, Zen received, a C+, and Lizzy received a C. Most of this was because they spent Mehr time trying to decipher the Phantis language thing, than work on their homework. But it would also be because of some first impressions Von Zen.

Mister Seignzi was a very particular serious man. This was the only reason Zen received a C+. Lizzy was gegeben a C due to her attitude, and lack of attention. She cared little, but as for Zen… he tried to stay awake Mehr often in classes from then on.

Tess and Lizzy spent most of the end of that week trying to convince Zen to let them all watch the Phantis video again. Finally, after much begging, threatening, and bribing, Zen sagte “ALRIGHT! LET’S JUST WATCH THE Videos AGAIN!”

Chapter five: Ransom note
Location: 17 Vinnie Grove, Lexistropolis
Date: Saturday, December 10th 4337
Time: 9:00 A.M.
*Ding Dong* … *Ding Dong* *Ding Dong* *Ding Dong* *Ding Dong* *Ding Do-*
“WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??” Mrs. Eventide yelled slamming the door front open. She was angry with good reason. Saturdays are for sleep. The average female, oder to be Mehr accurate in this case, THIS female, will take half of an Stunde to eat, and then one Stunde Mehr to prepare herself in hair, showering, make-up, and clothing. She was instead, tired, with curled hair, a night robe, and a half angry half asleep frown.

She was being awakened Von no other than that energetic piece of rainbow, TESS. Hiding in a busch regretting ever coming was the spineless coward of green, ZEN. They were both startled Von the loud noise, which caused Zen to choose not to stay inside the bush.
“H-hi Mrs. Eventide.” Tess greeted. “We were just wondering if we could see Lizzy?”
After much silence, Mrs. Eventide cooled down, and replied with “It’s nine in the morning kids. What is it with teenagers and the balance of sleep?! Why do Du need Lizzy???”
“We were… TOLD Von OUR GYM TEACHER to uh… train early on Saturdays for a marathon coming up!” Tess conjured up. This brought much relief to Mrs. Eventide who kindly sagte “Oh sure. She’s upstairs in her room. Oh, and don’t worry about being quite. They say it’s healthy to be a light sleeper.”

The two chameleons looked at each other with a confused sign on their face but graciously took the offer. They quickly, but cautiously, went up to Lizzy’s room (The one with the purple messer painting on it and the words “DIE PARENTS” across it).
“Whoa-no.” Zen declined, backing away from the door. “I am not going in there.”
“AND WHY NOT?!” Tess quietly questioned.
“ONE:” Zen began. “It’s Lizzy. ‘KNIFE WIELDER OF DOOM’ I do believe is what Chells called her. TWO: What if there’s a booby-trap in her room? AND THRE-”
“Fine ALREADY!” Tess halted. “Just don’t touch anything, and be quite.” Tess opened Lizzy’s door, which was not booby-trapped, and cautiously went over, and nudged the sleeping feline’s head. No reaction. She nudged again, and again, and again. Finally she shoved her off the bed. Lizzy made a small squeal as she fell, which made Tess giggle a bit.

The “Knife Wielder of Doom” slowly got up, thinking that she had fallen out of sleep, and began to go back into her bead when she saw Tess… Du may begin laughing.

First: Lizzy jumping backwards onto the floor in surprise.

Second: Lizzy getting up again and yelling out “WHAT ARE Du DOING!?!?!?!?”

Third: Tess being chased around the bedroom Von Lizzy.

Once the black cat stopped chasing the yellow chameleon, Tess finally explained everything. “Zen was really hyper last night so we made a chart of things that we should have been doing to try and solve the mystery of Phantis, and the-“
“Mystery… of Phantis… seriously?” Lizzy scoffed in disbelief.
“You want to name it something else, fine.” Tess said. “Anyway, then we finally went to bett and woke up really early. We wanted to come and get Du cause we couldn’t wait anymore, and there’s so much to do.”
“You woke me up, from a nice dream of which there are no parents to drag me in to something that could have waited till at least noon?” Lizzy inquired, a storm of anger growing inside her.
“C-calm down Lizzy.” Tess nervously pleaded. “You’re up now, and… AT LEAST NOW YOU… uhhhhh… CAN GET AWAY FROM YOUR PARENTS SOONER!!”
“Fail.” Lizzy critiqued, as she started out her door. “Let’s just go be- YEAK!!!” Lizzy didn’t finish that sentence for she had now been surprised Von Zen, who was standing in front of the door, and was now on the floor in pain from being hand chopped on the head. Yet another red bump followed soon after.
“It’s good to see you’re awake.” Zen weakly groaned, getting back on his feet. “Can we go now?”

They all left the Eventide household, and started down to The chameleon’s house when Lizzy asked “How’d Du get my mom to let Du in anyway?”
“Uhhh… Congratulations Lizzy.” Zen congratulated. “You are now part of Raventide’s school track team. Saturday practices at Nine-thirty sharp… It was Tess who came up with it!!”
“Well I hope she has the legs for it, cause she’s the one who will be doing it.” Lizzy growled, turning to a cringing Tess. “Now don’t say anything else PLEASE unless it relates to the whole chart thing.”

Normally if they were to answer the way Lizzy asked them not too, it would not be a problem because she would be less tired, plus it was usually in public. They were alone on the side of the road, and Lizzy was in a very annoyed mood. Otherwise Zen would explain that it would be complicated to explain there, but he knew even that would give him another bump to add to his collection.

Once in Zen’s room…

“Okay!” Zen began, pointing a small stick at his “chart” being held up in the dark room. “First on our Liste is surviving school… which can wait till five years from now. Weiter is the Phantis file, which we are gonna watch very soon. Third would be translation… which I have no idea how we would go about doing.”
“Got it covered… probably” Lizzy announced.
“How?” Tess asked, turning her attention away from the board.
“My Grandpa.” Lizzy answered. “He knows about that sort of thing… I think. What’s Weiter Zen?”
“Let’s see” Zen continued trying to find his place again “… that would be finding Mr. Lenard… somehow. And finally, spying.”
“Who, what, when, where, and why exactly?” Lizzy asked.
“The Island of Lost Dreams! HAHAHA” Tess joked. “Heh heh heh hmm hmmm… Y’know from the… with the… OH NEVER MIND!”
“Who… is a long list.” Zen said, returning to the main subject. “Mr. Lenard (DUH), the police dude, Chells, our old principa-“
“HOLD ON!” Lizzy interrupted. “Chells? I thought he was you’re friend.”
“Well we have known him for like two years, but we never really hung around him much.” Zen answered.
“And yet we are spying on him…why?” Lizzy asked again “You guys have known me for like barely a month.”
“Yeah, but Du helped us escape the school, save the cop, and don’t wear black.” Zen returned.
“My pelz is black for Pete’s sake!” Lizzy said. “Why do Du keep making references to me and Chells like we’re emo!?”
“N-not to mention that he stopped that bully in mid… uh… whatever.” Tess intervened. “He obviously is a good guy.”
“That could be a cover oder something.” Zen turned. “But where’d he learn to fight like that?! And what about the painting thing!? How’d he know about that?!! AND WHAT ABOUT-“
“Can we please go on to someone else!?!” Lizzy yelled.
“… Fine.” Zen groaned. “The Weiter person on my Liste was our old principal, cause she hates me, Mrs. Zephmore, cause we found the file in her classroom, and that’s it.”
“Heh. Okaaaaaaaay…so can we watch the file now?” Lizzy asked.
“Yeah. It’s all set up and all.” Zen sagte walking over to his computer, and hitting “play”.
As usual, the screen lit up with the same cat-girl on it from the last two times.
“I remember now.” The file began “I was in a hallway… thing. It was all misty, but I did see eight oder nine figures in it; lining up on either side, with two at the end. I didn’t notice the ones on the side, but when I seemed to trip and fall on oben, nach oben of the front one, on the left side. When I fell on to it… I… felt…… w-when I fell, I was in front of a floating book with the word Phantis on it. At least… that’s what I interpreted it as. It was a strange language that I hadn’t seen before. Yet somehow I was able to read it. I opened the book and saw a dark blue figure standing over shorter ones, as if scolding them on failing… something. Before I could tell further, the book flipped to a different area. There was… a… rock star… I think. I just don’t get it. A Rock Star? What would a picture of that be doing in a book like this? Anyway, eventually the book closed, then I was pulled back from it Von someone. I would have screamed, but it went Von so fast. I felt myself fall, and wake up, but I remember hearing the words-
Not yet.” Lizzy and the recording said.
“How did you-“ Zen began.
“SHHH!!!” Tess scolded.

The recording continued. “Oh yeah that reminds me. I wrote down the letters from the language, but they might be out of order. I can’t read them now that I’m awake again, which just makes me so full of joy I might want to do something drastic. Anyway, now that their talking about there being something bad happening soon, Jake suggested I give info, as if someone will find this, but whatever. He’s my boyfriend, so I’ll try it at least once. *sigh* This is Zelda Evens. I live at Umbrage Ave Triff City, Triff. Today is a Tuesday, and tonight is prom… WHAAAAAAAAAEVERS. IF Du ARE Lesen THIS Du ARE THE RESISTENCE… graubraun, dun graubraun, dun DUNNNNNNNNNN. Hahahaha. But seriously, if this is found, come find me. It be cool, especially if you’re like Phycic oder something. Then Du could find out what these dreams mean. Anyway, signing out.”
“I… I have to go.” Lizzy rushed out of the room, and down the stairs.
“WAIT UP!!!” Tess and Zen yelled, running after her in confusion. They didn’t need to go far. They stopped when they saw Lizzy pick up a letter from the front porch. She opened it…
“Go to DeanGames in OutdoorMall3. Bring the file. If Du don’t we kill our Blue-Badged leverage, then go for your parents. 5:30 SHARP”

Silence. Silence that lasted ten seconds. Tess and Zen had no idea what to do. Lizzy on the other hand…

“I’ve gotta go.” Lizzy announced a Sekunde time, as she began to turn towards the road. Zen grabbed her shoulder, causing her to stop.
“Not until Du tell us what just happened!” Zen demanded.
“You read the note! Let go!” Lizzy demanded back, shrugging Zen off.
“What about ‘NOT YET’?” Zen asked.
“… I’ll tell ya later, okay!?” Lizzy pleaded.
“Not okay!” Zen responded. “You’re about to go get yourself killed Von those people aren’t ya!?”
“No…” Lizzy began, “I’m going to kill them, then bring their hearts to the police as a gift.”
“Soooooooooo not without us Du aren’t!” Tess butted in. “We’re all in this together, plus Du can’t take them all just Von yourself!”
“I don’t have time for this!!” Lizzy yelled, running off. The two chameleons followed. Eventually Lizzy got so annoyed Von the two chasers that she stopped.
“YOU AREN’T COMING!!!!” Lizzy yelled.
“YES WE ARE!!!!!” Tess yelled back.
“Y’KNOW WHAT!!?!? FINE!!!!! BUT STAY OUT OF MY WAY oder ELSE!!” Lizzy yelled again. They were silent the rest of the trip down to the mall. It took them an Stunde to reach their destination, which made both chameleons all but change their minds about coming Mehr than once. They were baffled as to how Lizzy was able to stay so energetic, and focused the entire time, but they didn’t ask. 5:12 P.M. they had arrived at DeanGames.

The three walked into the videogame store, which was quite small… Zen got sidetracked Mehr than once, but while he enjoyed the demo-game-stations, Tess and Lizzy tried to find anyone in the store that might be who they were to meet up. No one there yet.

Finally, they went out of the store, and Weiter to the large alley Weiter to it. All of them agreed that this would have been a much better place for a tradeoff; a word that sprung an action from Lizzy quite surprisingly.
“TRADEOFF!! UGH!!!!!!!!” Lizzy cried out slapping her head.
“Uhhhhh…Lizzy?” Tess said, concerned.
“WE FORGOT THE STUPID FILE TO TRADE OFF WITH!!!!!” Lizzy yelled.
“No we didn’t!” Zen intervened. “I have it on my Mp3 player.”
“That doesn’t help much!!” Lizzy yelled again.
“And why not?” Both Tess and Zen, asked.
“I seriously doubt they want to hear ‘we copied your file and are bringing Du the copy, even though Du probably want the file and copy, so that we can’t find out any Mehr about the Phantis thing ,which we aren’t supposed to know anything about in the first place.’” Lizzy announced “… Du guys need to go and hide far from here.”

They argued until 5:30, of which a cloaked figure started walking towards them from the alley, lugging along the police officer that Lizzy and Zen had saved. When they saw the figure they froze. No one, not even the abductor, moved for about thirty seconds.

Lizzy glanced over, and noticed that the figure wasn’t alone. Behind varieties of large and tall objects were heavily armed assassins, who were pointing directly at her. There were at least ten.
“Go NOW.” Lizzy whispered to Tess and Zen. They refused.
“Which one of Du has the file?” The figure asked. They all looked at Zen. The nervous green chameleon slowly placed his hand into his left pocket, then began pulling his Mp3 Player out. Before he could even say “Here” and toss it to them, Lizzy had made up a plan of her own. She snatched the device from Zen’s hand, then shoved him and his sister to the left, out of gun range.

All the snipers pointed directly at Lizzy now. They started to pull back on their triggers, but she held up the Mp3 Player. The figure gave the signal to stand down, then demanded the file be gegeben to him. “Let the chameleons go first.” Lizzy responded. “Then I’ll give it to you.”
“Why?” The figure asked. “We have Mehr than ten copies of it, since our little… implosion. We just don’t want any evidence that it exists. So, even though we were hoping on simply taking it and scaring Du to keep quiet… FIRE!”

All the snipers took one-fourth of a Sekunde before they fired. In this one-fourth, Lizzy had lunged herself at Tess and Zen, knocking them across the area, in front of the shop. She was shot three times in the head, and seven in the chest.

The black feline fell to the ground motionless. The two chameleons were terrified. They ran out of the area, and into the street. Two of the assassins followed.

The figure tossed the officer to one of the others, then walked over to the motionless Lizzy, who still had the Mp3 Player in her had. He grasped in with his palm, but couldn’t seem to ungrasp. Lizzy’s hand was holding his firmly in place, refusing to render the device.

Everyone watched in astonishment, as Lizzy, who was thought dead, jumped upward from the ground, landing her foot directly into the figure’s face. The haube came off, reveling a very pained echidna, falling on his back.

The shooters never felt Mehr trigger-happy in their lives. The kept shooting and shooting at Lizzy, but the bullets just kept passing through her. She charged at two of the snipers that were closest, ghosting through their stomachs, and then pulling on their bones, causing them to pass out from the pain.

She quickly picked up the guns, and began a heavy arms fight with the other six riflemen. Eventually they realized that attacking the phantom-cat wouldn’t work, so they all pointed their Pistolen at the police officer, who was still lying on the floor supposedly unconscious.

“Drop the guns, then bring the file, oder he dies.” One of the riflemen demanded. Lizzy did so, at least she dropped the guns. The cat walked over to the cop, and knelt Weiter to his, placing her hand on his arm.

“I sagte BRING THE FILE!!!!!!” The shooter yelled. Lizzy looked down at the cop, then whispered “My apologies”, immediately before lunging him upward. The assassins shot continuously at the police officer, but the bullets now went through him as well. This was because Lizzy was still touching him. She seemed to be able to transfer her ghosting to his body, making him phantom.

The officer landed on the roof of the store, out of range from the shooters, who now were shooting at Lizzy again. She just stood there, waiting for their bullets to run out, just before remembering seeing two of the assassins go after her friends.

Lizzy turned away from the enemy party, and started running towards where she saw Tess and Zen go off to. The snipers stopped shooting again, and began Wird geladen a strange red liquid. They shot soon after. Lizzy quickly responded, but instead of going through the LASER BEAMS being shot at her, she absorbed them.

Her pelz turned flaming red, and her eyes glowed pale pink. She was beaming with the red energy. The red-energy-cat took out her messer and threw it at the snipers, who were all trying to run away Von now. She kept holding it in a red light, as she continued to slice her enemies.

Once she was content with her results, Lizzy finally resumed the task of saving the two chameleons. Charged with the light energy gained from the strange liquid, Lizzy blazed through the path, going extremely fast, directly in line with the path behind Tess and Zen.

Farther ahead in a small suburb…

“COME ON TESS!!!!!!!!!” Zen yelled to his sister, who was straggling behind him, and in front of the two snipers.
“I’M COMING!!!!!!!!!” Tess yelled back. The twin sister caught up, then they both ducted into the alleys of one of the suburb houses. The attackers teilt, split up, one to one side of the alley, and the other to the other. When the first came turned to the left side he saw nothing, but when he turned to the right he was head-bashed Von a large shovel, held Von Zen.

The two chameleons came out from their hiding places, and resumed running for their lives, until “BWING!” The other sniper shot the shovel, near Zen’s hand, causing him to drop it. They couldn’t make it out of reach, and they weren’t fast enough to overpower him.

The sniper aimed and fired three shots at the two chameleons. The shots were immediately bounced off from LIZZY’s face, who had just appeared out of nowhere, and into the shoulder of the sniper. The three Friends quickly ran to the clearing of the suburban houses, followed Von immediate collapsing.
Everyone was freaking out for ten Minuten straight. “HOW ARE Du ALIVE!??!?!” Zen yelled at Lizzy.
“I… I can turn phantom, and absorb material oder abilities.” Lizzy sagte slowly.
“AND WHEN WERE Du GONNA TELL US THIS!!?!??” Zen yelled again.
“ZEN!!!” Tess scolded. “Would Du like to have to tell someone Du knew for about a Monat that Du had super powers, that could get Du in trouble with the government oder something?!”
“Sorry it’s just…” Zen stopped. “How are Du doing this?”
“I really don’t know.” Lizzy responded. “I’ve been able to for as far back as I can remember. My grandpa can do stuff too, but that’s all Du get to know. AND IF Du TELL ANYONE ANYTHING ABOU-“
“We get it!” Tess interrupted. “No telling! C-can we just go home!?”

None of them really realized it until then, but not only were they in a location they had no idea the location of, but they were all terrified, AND that is was now seven-o-clock. Very dark, and a very bad time to be out. All three of them slowly got up, then after about half of an Stunde found their way back to DeanGames.

Lizzy called Tess’s parents, who picked them up fifteen Minuten later. No one sagte anything until both Lizzy Tess and Zen, were all home. Lizzy slowly snuck into her room, hoping that her parents would think that she had come in and fallen asleep early.

Tess and Zen had no plan. Their parents knew them. They would have to tell them what happened, but they were spared until morning. The two weary chameleons trudged up the stairs to their bedrooms, both exhausted and nervous. The problem was, they couldn’t decide if it was because of the assassins, their parents, oder LIZZY.

Chapter six: Discussion with parents, and catching up with old Friends
Location: 66 Jazon Ave, Lexistropolis, Tropolis States
Date: Sunday, December 10th, 4337
Time: 10:03 A.M.

“Let me get this straight the very Sekunde time, with detail.” Mr. Solomon began, speaking to his two twin children. “Lizzy told Du that she had found out that her ‘track team’ was having a jog around OutdoorMall3, who were able to give Du two a lift to watch and track her, for ‘training’. And then, one of the vans left before the others with extra space. After which all the seats were full, causing Du to be left at DeanGames. Later after, Lizzy found out that her Cellphone was left in one of the cars, so none of Du could contact us on time. And then finally, once a ‘chatty customer’ reporting a murder, and oder assassination, Weiter to DeanGames, took at least an Stunde to convince the police of what had happened, Du got your chance to contact your Mother and I at exactly EIGHT-TWELVE P.M.”
“It’s official.” Zen whispered to his sister.
“What’s official?” Tess confusedly inquired.
“ONE: Dad has the best memory ever, and TWO: we are sunk.” Zen replied.
“Gotta give ya that much.” Tess said.
“Yep Dad. That is exactly what happened.” Zen responded to his father.
“Even if Du can back up this story,” Mr. Solomon started, “neither of Du had the slightest common sense to tell us? People get killed in public places, as well as abducted Du know that. You’re both sixteen! Every time Lizzy comes over something happens. I’m not sure having Lizzy over so much is still a good idea.”
“WHAT!??” Tess exclaimed.
“Tess, we don’t know almost anything about Lizzy, and she is almost always arriving uninvited.” Mrs. Solomon stated.
“Actually, that was my fault.” Tess said. “You see, Lizzy didn’t know that the track meeting time, so she almost slept in. We ran over and were able to get her out of her house, but her parents weren’t willing to go so early, so we brought her over so that Du could drive her over. Except we found out that the time was actually around five-o-clock, so we let her stay over here until it was time. She was actually the one against the idea, right Zen?”

Tess gave a dependent smile at her twin brother, who remained silent. On one hand, if he lied it would help him get Mehr info about Lizzy, and his sister wouldn’t kill him, but on the other hand he would have his older life back. No blowing up schools, oder assassins, oder ghosting. Just him, his sis, his parents, and his computer.

Finally, Zen opened with the words “Well actually, Li- OUCH!” Tess had gegeben her brother an elbow to the arm, and a urging scowl. He couldn’t take it anymore. “Y-yeah… that’s what happened.” The green chameleon weakly agreed, rubbing his damaged arm.
“There will be consequences later,” Mrs. Solomon began, “but your Father and I are going somewhere today. While we are gone, if Du invite anyone over, stay in the living room, and if there is anything out of place, it will be taken out of your account money.”

Mr. and Mrs. Solomon left two Minuten later, leaving the two teenagers alone in the house. Zen started down the hallway, to his bedroom, but Tess grabbed him Von his hemd, shirt and dragged him into the middle of the living room.
“What was that?!” Tess angrily blamed Zen
“What!?” Zen defended. “Mom’s right. Lizzy isn’t a good influence. We don’t know her parents well, we don’t know anything about her supposed grandfather. We didn’t even know she had powers until yesterday! And we don’t know anything about her past!”
“Lizzy saved Du and me!” Tess protested, looking angrily at her brother. “She saved the cop, us, the file, and helped find the file. Almost every time we see her, she helps us. I get it! She’s a bit touchy sometimes, and she carries a knife. SO WHAT!? She doesn’t use it against anyone we know to be bad, and she’s the one who gave us the info from the cop!”
“And that rocks!” Zen agreed. “But what if it’s just an act?! What if she’s just trying to gain our trust to get the file?! oder maybe she’s some psyco-killer that gets close to someone, then dices them!?”
“No Mehr Cop shows for you.” Tess teased. “Lizzy’s our friend, I trust her, and Du should too! If she does something FINE, Du win, but she hasn’t yet so at least give her the benefit of the doubt. KAY?!”
Zen quietly agreed, after a while, still uneasy about it all.
“Now come on!” Tess started. “We’ve got to get the chart and stuff ready.”
“Why? We already told Lizzy like everything.” Zen said.
“We’re gonna need Mehr than just Lizzy.” Tess finished. “I’ve got a plan.”
Half an Stunde later…
“Why in small two-syllabled words, am I here?” Chells demanded, sitting impatiently on one of the family couches. On the couch to his right, who was equally confused, sat Lizzy. In the kitchen, looking for a soda, was Zen. And finally, talking on the house phone, while walking frantically back and forth, was Tess.
“Listen Siera!” Tess demanded over the phone. “I know that I haven’t been hanging with Du lately, but it’s been a very busy week.”
“Besides the parts where we would sit on the couches drinking soda all day, while forgetting about all your other friends.” Lizzy intervened.
“ANYWAY… I was hoping that I could make it up to you.” Tess pleaded to the backenhörnchen, chipmunk, streifenhörnchen girl on the other line.
“And how do Du plan on doing that?” Siera inquired on the other line.
“Me, Zen, and a new friend are planning something big, and we want and need Du to be a part of it.” Tess explained.
“New friend?” Siera negatively questioned. “You’ve been skipping out on me, who you’ve known for almost three years, for some ‘NEW FRIEND’?!”
“There’s gonna be white Schokolade swirl chip cookies, with coconut shavings on top.” Tess bribed.
“I’ll think about it.” Siera responded, hanging up.
“To answer your Frage Chells…” Tess began, “Me and Zen are going to have a team meeting with all our friends, including Du and Lizzy, for something very important.”
“… Now tell me something I didn’t already figure out.” Chells teased sarcastically.
“I CAN’T TELL Du YET!!!” Tess yelled. “THAT WOULD RUIN THE SURPRISE!!!”
“… If Du weren’t one of those sweet little innocent types, I would hurt you.” Chells threatened. “Since when am I in the loop anyway? I don’t know Du two that well anyway.”
“Or me.” Lizzy added.
“I suppose.” Chells finished.
“Suppose?” Tess and Lizzy inquired.
“Oh my.” Chells misdirected. “Are those kekse, cookies I smell burning?”
“GANGWAY!!!!” Tess screamed almost running into Zen, as she went to check her cookies.

After all of the party calmed down again, the three teens began to wait, and wait… and wait. Finally after ten Mehr Minuten than they had patience for, Siera and Nick finally arrived.
“Okay, let’s do this quickly please.” Siera announced, as she quickly walked into the room. “I’ve got to get my designs E-mailed to the new school.”
“Nice to see Du too Se.” Tess sarcastically responded.
“She might not be nice to see, Du it’s always nice to see Du guys.” Nick kindly teased, as he came into the house.
“Th-thanks Nick.” Tess blushed.
“Chells?” Siera said, confused. “I didn’t know Du were Friends with them too.”
“Neither did I.” Chells responded.
“I needed anyone I could find okay!?” Tess angrily blared out. “Now, to business.”

Tess gave a long arm waving signal to Zen, who quickly chugged his kirsche soda, and ran over with their chart. He then grabbed a small stick from the bottom of the chart, and pointed to a symbol on a sheet placed on-top of the chart.
“Thi-EAAAAASE!” Zen burped out, just before grasping his nose in fizzy pain.
“That was clear.” Lizzy teased.
“What he was going to say,” Tess began, “was that this” pointing to the symbol again, “is a symbol we found on a file called PHANTIS.
“How did Du kn-… How did Du find that out?” Chells said, correcting himself.
“We found it in a book, in Miss Zephmore’s classroom.” Tess informed. “The file was in a secret compartment.”
“And being the smart one Du are,” Siera began, “you took sagte file, and didn’t take head about anything the school board would do to Du for taking their stuff?”
“Except for the fact that it wasn’t the school boards.” Chells corrected.
“Then who’s was it?” Nick asked.
“Some evil echidna department thing, that’s trying to kill us, because we have to file.” Zen blurted out. “… oops.”
“I feel safer already.” Siera sarcastically teased. “And why do they want the file?”
“You guys all know about that book thing, that echidna girl had, which supposedly disappeared?” Zen inquired.

Everyone but Chells nodded. Instead he just sat there, as if surprised. But obviously it was for other intentions as he carelessly declared, “Can I use the restroom?” Zen directed him, and they were back to the same topic.
“Well, guess what this file is from?” Tess said.
“Are Du serious?” Siera asked. “Wouldn’t it be bigger?”
“Obviously not.” Tess replied. “But apparently it does have the info about the Phantis thing. Of which I am still unsure, as to what exactly it is.”
“So why would Du need everyone?” Nick asked.
“Well, we were hoping that Du guys would like to Mitmachen us, so that we could make a sort of detective agency thing, to go against the agency.” Tess proposed.
“And if they wanted to kill us?” Nick inquired, almost nervously.
“Lizzy can take care of that.” Zen boasted a Sekunde time. He turned to Lizzy, whose face he could already tell which expression was tied with.

Everyone turned to Lizzy, who sat there for a moment, then began to walk into the kitchen.

“You can Zeigen em Lizzy.” Tess pressed.
“No!” Lizzy sternly spoke out, as she began looking for a drink.
“If Du don’t I’ll tell em I will.” Zen threatened.
“I’m really starting to like that ‘Knife Wielder of Doom’ nickname.” Lizzy hinted angrily at Zen, just as Chells walked back in, with a slight sense of popularity around him. Zen stopped talking.
“Le-let’s just get back to the main reason we’re here.” Nick proposed. “what do Du want us to do Tess?”
“Well I had planned that we could slowly try and find all the file pieces before the department people did.” Tess began. “My guess is that they’ll be able to do something really bad once they get em all, and we need to stop them.”
“And our positions are…” Chells inquired.
“Well Nick,” Tess announced, pointing to the male mongoose, “You can be our muscle.”
“Oooooooooooh. Muscles.” Zen teased before being pulled back Von Lizzy.
“ANYWAY…” Tess continued, “Siera, Du could help get all the supplies, and organize our missions, and be the central control person.”
“I can live with that.” Siera agreed to in satisfaction.
“Chells, Du can uh…” Tess froze. Nothing came to her. She had no idea what the blind fuchs was good at, beside insulting and beating up bullies, so she just stood there, attempting to figure out what to make him. She would have gotten some bad feed-back if Zen hadn’t said, “He can be our Sekunde muscle man, and our stealth guy. That way Du could spy on people, and break into houses and stuff.”
“That’s really what Du think I’m like?” Chells inquired; his face completely blank, as if to say ‘COME ON!!!!!’ Finally he responded with “What Siera said… only less willing.”
“What are Du and Zen gonna do Tess?” Nick asked.
“We’re gonna be the tech people, who map the locations, and hack the computers and stuff.” Tess announced.
“But I don’t know how t-OUCH!” Zen exclaimed, being stopped Von Lizzy’s foot.
“Wait a sec…” Lizzy pondered. “What am I doing?”
“Tess sagte that Du should be the leader.” Zen mumbled.
“You’ve got the messer the attitude, the… um… you-know-what’s…” Tess began. “You’d get to tell everybody what case to take, and go on the missions Du want, and use your dagger a lot.”
“… sweet… I guess.” Lizzy agreed.
“Okay, this all sounds really cool and all,” Siera began, “But we’re about to get into something really serious right? What if we get caught oder something? oder killed even?”
“I’ve could build some Tasers for us.” Nick suggested.
“I already have one.” Chells spoke.
“Since when?” Zen questioned in disbelief.
“Since the high-school got blown up Von terrorists.” Chells informed.
“I think that every time we are about to go ‘work on a case’ we should wear two specific outfits.” Siera put in. “One for normal, which would have all Tasers Nick suggested, plus some com-link-things, then another for stealth, with the whole ‘black outfit’ and ‘ninja stars’ things.”
“I think this is really starting to sound interesting.” Chells encouraged.
“All for it?” Nick asked.
“Aye!” All but Chells and Lizzy voted, who simply raised their hands.”
“What’s our name?” Nick asked.
“THE PHANTIS FILE!!” Tess exclaimed in enthusiasm. Everyone simply stared at her with disappointed expressions.
“… I might be able to survive that.” Chells encouraged. Slowly after, they all agreed.
“Wait a second.” Siera said. “Where are the cookies?”
“THE COOKIES!!!!!!” Tess yelled crashing into Zen, causing him to drop his soda. The liquid went flying everywhere, and then on to everyone… except Lizzy.
“Saved em!” Tess exclaimed limping back, with her slightly singed cookies, but no one noticed her (except for Nick). They were all trying to see where the soda hit Lizzy.
“Uhhhh… Du guys do know what comfort zone means right?” Lizzy hinted, moving Mehr into the couch.
“How did Du not get hit Von the soda?” Siera inquired, with a suspicious expression.
“It obviously missed her, Siera.” Chells stated, as if it was obvious, while in fact, Lizzy was the one closest to the spill.

While everyone could tell that it would very odd for Lizzy not to get hit, they were quickly distracted Von the fresh plate of home-maid melty, and tangy ‘white Schokolade swirl chip cookies, with coconut shavings on top’.
“So what exactly do we do first?” Lizzy asked, munching a cookie.
“Well, I was thinking we could go to DeanGames, and look for clues.” Tess announced.
“Why DeanGames?” Nick inquired.
“Wel-… uh… er… N-no special reason.” Tess stuttered, as she quickly thought up a good fib. “We found a bunch of cloaked guys there, who were like all beat up, and they were echidnas, and we-we-we-we… uh Saw the Phantis symbol on one of their cloaks.” (Even though Tess had no idea what the symbol looked like)
“okay, but who’s driving?” Lizzy asked.
“I can!” Chells, Zen, Siera, and Nick all volunteered.
“Lizzy, Du pick.” Zen said, placing the stress on the cat girl.
“Uhhh… N-Nick?” Lizzy chose, unsure of her choice.
“OH WAIT!!!” Tess yelled, slapping her face. “Our parents just got real mad about us leaving without telling em. Le’mme give em a call first.”

Tess walked into the küche and began the largest begging Du would ever see oder hear. Finally after giving up a fair amount of privileges, her parents agreed. They all hopped into the family car, and were off to the crime scene.

On the road…

“Sooooooo, how does everyone know each other again?” Lizzy asked.
“I met Tess and Zen first I think.” Siera began. “She was wearing a regenbogen top, and I thought it was cute. We naturally bonded right of the bat!”
“You called me a hippie, and spent the rest of P.E. trying to get me to change into something Du didn’t think was hideous.”
“Oh… yeah… right… sorry.” Siera blushed. “Th-then I saw her running Von a chameleon guy, and… heh… thought it was her boyfriend.” Both Lizzy and Chells were dying, trying not to laugh, while Zen shrunk into his seat, and Nick simply gave a blank face.
“Later on, she tried to set us up alone, but it was really funny seeing her freak out when she found out the truth.” Tess giggled.
“And Weiter came…” Lizzy pressed.
“Chells I think.” Tess said. “…Though we kept noticing that he was there like all the time. We just didn’t meet him until Zen accused him of being the Unabomber! He followed him home, and spied on his house for like a whole week.”
“Ergo, the reason I now have three locks on my doors and windows.” Chells put in.
“How’d ya convince him Du weren’t caption boom?” Lizzy inquired.
“I didn’t.” Chells responded, turning to a very embarrassed Zen. “Word of advice…Don’t give him a lock pick for Christmas.”
“Next came Nick.” Zen began, regaining his stature. “He waved to Tess one day, who was wearing a hemd, shirt that sagte ‘catch a wave’, with a surfing hand on it. She waved back, and ended up tripping on me, because she was too busy looking at him. I asked her what had happened, and she sagte that that guy was really-“
“ZEN AND ME TALKED TO HIM FOR A WHILE, MISSED A CLASS, THEN MET THE OTHER Tag AND WERE FRIENDS!!!” Tess exclaimed, struggling to not have an embarrassing memory exposed.
“After a bit, we all ran into each other, when we got back from summer break.” Zen stated. “Well, most of us. Chells just sagte hi as he passed us.”
“Still barely know you.” Chells put in. “Lizzy’s turn.”
“Ah, Lizzy!” Tess began. “Now she’s got a good beginning story. We met her after being trapped in the school. She beat up-“
“Knocked out.” Lizzy put in.
“-A police guard, then helped us find the Phantis file.” Tess continued. “After that, the school began to go boom, but before all the bombs went off, yes apparently there was Mehr than one, we escaped, and saved a cop to boot! But Lizzy didn’t make it! oder so we thought. When Zen went to go open the door the Weiter day, there she was. Ever since then, she’s like helped us with a lot of adventure stuff!” Tess finished, giving Lizzy a big hug. Lizzy cautiously hugged back, then pushed her back.
“Okay, now what really happened?” Nick asked.
“She’s not lying.” Chells vouched. “I got stuck in the school too, and saw them running around the classrooms.”
“And we are here.” Nick announced.

The six Friends stepped out, and headed towards the alley, Weiter to the DeanGames store. Lizzy looked over one of the generators, and got a clean socke to the head, causing her to fall backwards. The figure jumped out, and began running frantically away, holding a large spherical item.

The stunned cat quickly regained her balance, and began charging after the figure, while the rest of her ‘team’ stood there and watched.

“WHAT ARE Du GUYS DOING!?!?!?” Tess yelled. “WE’V GOT TO CUT HIM OFF!!!!”
“How are we going to do that?!” Siera yelled back.
“Go in different directions!” Tess ordered. “There’s a cul-de-sac near here, where he can hide, and we don’t want him to get away. Nick, I need to Du get in the car and get there before him!”
“GOT IT!!” Nick acknowledged, as they all began their pursuit.
“PHANTIS FILE GO!!!” Tess yelled out.
“Never say that out loud again, okay?” Zen pleaded, with his spine still recovering from the painful chills.
“Just go!” Tess repeated.

I woke up at 5:00 A.M. Von the sound of birds chirping. They seemed so happy and were Singen for joy. But I didn't understand that. I mean, why would Du sing for joy if Du had to go to school right after Du wake up, which isn't any fun because everyone at school hates you, the teachers, students, EVERYBODY! And if Du think it’s a relief when Du get home, you’ll have to do tons of homework, later doing chores, and you’ll have to live with a dad that seems to hate you. Yeah, there’s really no reason to sing, well, unless you’re someone besides me.

Well let me introduce myself. I’m Christopher (Kris for Short), and I’m one of the most miserable people you’ll ever know. My mom is dead, my father hates me, and I have a stupid curse put on me and-ugh! My life is just terrible. I’m trying to have hope, but I don’t think I’ll ever find it. If Du want to know the whole story of my life, you’ll just have to read on.
