He wont cry over her picture if he's forgiven himself.

After he helped bring Voldemort down, I think his mind may be more at rest, since he would've thought that he had revenged Lily's death, and maybe kind of redeemed himself. And since Harry saw him for the good person that he really was, he would have some people that cared about him. I think there would be a possibility of moving on for him.

If he had support, love and understanding from others like most other people get I think he could move on. A real strong caring person to convince him would make the difference. To me he was really vary emotionally troubled which vary strong love and understanding for him can cure.

After all, Dumbledore was the only person in the world who truly knew Snape. Indeed, he knew all the purety of Snape's heart. He is the one who trusted him when he claimed he was no longer Voldemord's follower, the only one who listened him when he wanted to talk about Lily, the only one who knew that he was in love with her all this time...
Even if there would have been people who would have cared for him, Snape would have never forgive himself for having killed the only person who really understood him.

I agree NathLaurie. That would be like me killing my closest friend. The one person that gets me and understands me fully. I know I could never forgive myself deep down, even though people may understand why if there was no other choice.

With people to care for him & the right woman to Love Him- He would hopefully realize that it was Voltemorts own freely chosen actions that killed Lily. If Snape had not given him the info, Volty would have eventually learned of the prophecy elsewhere.

The "killing Dumbledore" was done in mercy and to SAVE DRACO. Remember Dumbledore was already dying a painful death due to Volty"s cursed ring.

When he realized the error of his ways (everyone is young and dumb at some point) he turned spy for the side of good. This speaks volumes about his character.

How could he? He blamed himself for the death of his best friend and/or the only woman he ever loved. Perhaps if someone had cared about it (cannon wise, of course)he would have, but that wasn't the case :/

I don't think he could. Not with the kind of obsessive personality he had (his potions textbook is proof of that). No, he would always blame himself for Lily's death and wish he had died in her place.

I will remind him that even if he'd not killed DD,DD would have died in the near future because of the curse.It was him who had saved DD's life for one year.It was not him who really killed DD,but the curse.DD just had used the death of himself.
