I watched the movie today. I absolutely cried a river when he said that. So depressing!

:( I havnt seen it yet, but Im trying to brace myself so I dont break down.

And Harry is so struck when Severus says that. It is the very first time he's heard the Potions Master compare him to his Mother, and I think it dawns on Harry in just a couple of seconds what the implications of the statement are. You can see it in Harry's face.

Yes, for the first time, Severus sees in Harry someone else than James. He sees Lily. For the first time, he talks to Harry gently. For the first time, he looks relieved to see the boy.

And for the first time, Harry shows understanding and mercy for Severus. Harry's gesture to block the flow of blood from Severus' throat is full of compassion - which a trait of Harry's true nature. He tries to help even if he knows that Severus is dying.

I loved how Daniel and Alan played that scene together. So much is said and shown in so few words and gestures. Eyes are important and it really show on their faces to them both. Great job ! I was really moved.
