LadyNottingham Lovely. Shame that this scene did not make it to the movie. So intense and meaningful. Alan's performance is once again astounding. Even without expressing a single word, he conveys so much, so much, with his eyes and face. I suppose that he's standing in the staff/teachers' room there.

bri-marie I really don't get why that scene was cut. Not only is Alan's (and Tom's) acting amazing, but the scene itself is beautiful and intense and really added to the emotion of the killing later on. And it wasn't particularly long, either. It's not like it would have broken the movie to have that two minute long scene kept.

artsygirl20 hell, you know what I missed as well as this? Why oh WHY did they not show Snape teaching DADA??? I really wanted to see that so bad, he IS one of the title characters!! David Yates has royally fucked up the last three movies imo since he accepts the screenplay

frostydragon This is such a beautiful and powerful scene. The entire shot was such a waste not to make the movie and it was such a tease to see Severus and his mind set especially the dread of the final count down. Yes LadyNottingham Alan's eyes and face shows every ounce of distress. He is such a great story teller without saying a word. No one else could have played the part.

BlackHound Sometimes they cut priceless scenes in favor of flow and time. Possibly it'll be added to a director's cut or something later on. Hey, I can dream.
