Scrubs Article: JD and Elliot DON'T belong together.

JD and Elliot- My Point of No Return

I've seen every single episode of Scrubs, and for the longest time, I was convinced that JD and Elliot would be together in the end. Now, I'm not so sure.

In season one, they almost kissed in My Mentor, but JD ends up in the "Friend Zone," though at the end, Du think there is still hope. Next, still in season one, in My Bed, Banter, and Beyond, they spend a whole Tag in bed, and you're SURE they'll be together. But, this doesn't turn out after the two start getting on each other's nerves. Du could tell this relationship was trashedby the way they talked to the psychologist. Crash and burn.

In season 2, during the premiere, Elliot talks to her mom on the phone ("Yes, yay Mom, I'm straight.") about how awkward it is around JD, and JD looks for closure. Later that year, during Christmas, in My Monster, JD and Elliot hook up and become sex buddies (in My Sex Buddy). JD thinks there is still hope for their relationship, but no, Elliot breaks it off right when he becomes attached. Strike two.

Season 3, in My Lucky Night, JD tells Elliot about his feelings for her (again) but his timing is horrible, because Sean is now in the picture. And in My Self Examination, JD and Elliot are in a relationship (finally, right?) and JD realizes he doesn't Liebe Elliot. Big bummer.

They keep missing each other, so to speak, and I think this proves that they shouldn't be together. I think they permanently belong in the Friend Zone because they are so good that way. I Liebe them living together in season 5 (and part of season 6). They are not meant to be together because Elliot is engaged and has a pending wedding, JD is about to have a kid with another woman, and none of their past relationships have worked out, so how would this one be any different? Sure, I know that at the VERY end of My Point of No Return, I was hoping they'd hook up (for the umpteenth time). But at the same time, I don't see any way their relationship could work out because of Kim, Keith, and their fatal flaw: fear of commitment.

I think this season and this Zeigen should end up kind of like the Will & Grace finale. I Liebe that they end up being best Friends and their kids get married. I thought it was perfect. I want this show's series finale to be perfect too, and I just can't see JD and Elliot being together as being perfect. I hope the writers can come up with something genius to end the Zeigen with a bang.

sweetmonkeytoes I actually agree with you. It just seems like it would be forced it if happened. I like them a lot but after that one time he got together with her and said he didn't love her then why would it work this time? It just doesn't seem right anymore.

snoznoodle I know they're not meant to be together. They've both been confused because they're such good friends and I think they've just mixed up their feelings. At the start they did like each other but them dating to me proved that they are much better as friends. I would have a lot more respect for the show (I do have a lot already though lol) if they didn't get together. It's just different. And it would be a bit too much like Ross and Rachel if they did end up together. They're just confused.

snoznoodle One more thing lol. I think it was decided at the end of season 3. JD had her and he realised that he doesn't love Elliot. And Elliot eventually felt the same way. They're much better friends.

ThinkPink20 I agree. They have such good chemistry when they're just hanging out without all the sexual tension and such. I really liked when they lived together in season 5.

okellies I think that JD and Elliot don't belong together. They are a train wreck, and are better off as best friends. I just hope the producers don't try to force them together, especially now that there is a child involved. I'm not saying that JD and Kim should be together for the kids (it does happen), but something else for JD and Elliot.

Miss_Sigma I totally agree with you, but thats mostly because I think J.D and Dr Cox are made for each other.

ilovejdforevver I disagree, but only because this is outdated. 11 months ago I would've agreed with you. However, it's destined that JD and Elliot will get there time in the end because everyones paired up, and Elliot cancelled the marriage on Kieth and Kim doesn't want to be with JD on account he 'may or may not wake up one morning and decide to love her'. I think they wouldn't have broken these couples up unless something is going to happen. =]

scrubs4eva eventhough it looks like they dont ever seem to be in sync with each other, I dont think that will affect the outcome of their relationship. They both share one common personality trait: fear of commitment, as stated in My Point of No Return. Eventually, they will both work through this problem and, in my opinion, end up together.
