My reply: 1. Yes, she got raped but she was raped Von only Double J. Because she accidentally chosen him after taking too much "Speed" and got high. Before that she was willing to have sex with Joey to make Tony envy after the way he treated her and prefers Stephanie over her. When Tony tells Annette that they're no longer dance partners and found another woman, Annette was heartbroken and that's what gotten her wanting to sleep with Joey, especially when Tony and Stephanie share a loving KISS during the dance. Annette of course was depressed and angry at him and that's when she over did it with Speed. Double J refused to stop and the rape was off-screen. When she and Joey are unprotected as he moans an orgasm, she was nervous and stops him before the rape from Double J. she only stops Joey to prevent him impregnating her and not to go through the same situation like Pauline (Bobby C's unseen girlfriend). She may got too late to stop Joey but it's unknown whether she's pregnant Von Joey as the film is focus on Tony. 2. He obviously doesn't find her as attractive as Stephanie and Tony loves the way Stephanie dances, he hoped to put out with Stephanie but she wasn't interested in him like that and rather be friends. Tony did met someone named Jackie in the sequel, Stayin' Alive. Which he will most likely going to spend his life with. Annette on the other hand is very much going to be with Joey. In my opinion, Joey and Annette make a cuter couple than she is with Tony. Tony and Jackie from Stayin' Alive look cute together.

4). Poor Annette Gets No Respect: PEOPLE ran an Artikel on Donna Pescow when she starred in ANGIE, and one reader made the snide Kommentar that, at that time, all that was needed to become a star, sterne was to play a slut in a John Travolta movie.

Annette isn't a slut. she tries to find Mr. Right for a husband and thinks Tony would make a perfect one since her sisters are married and she wanted a man to marry and have a family with. since Tony let her down to be with Stephanie. Annette sees Joey as Mr. Right and takes Speed with him and asking for Mehr when Joey knows she had enough but easily gives in. She got high and Joey becomes highly intoxicated with alcohol, she accidentally chooses Double J to put out as well and without protection in the middle of sex with Joey, he moans out an orgasm and has a good chance of getting her pregnant, she stops him and Joey thinking it's Double J's turn to finish it off. Annette gets raped Von Double J off-screen. So Annette isn't a slut, she was looking for the right man to marry and have kids with. Those people don't see Annette's true colors. they just see what's in front and not focusing the background. 5). We Know What Happened To Annette In The Back sitz Of The Car... would be considered rape today. However, how do Du think it would have been thought upon Von audiences of the 70s? She did agree to the train before even willingly getting into the backseat of the car. Then she fell into the arms of one of the guys after Bobby C. fell of the bridge. Consider the time period though, when there was a ton of Filme (Private Lessons, Porky's, My Tutor)to name a few, about young boys scoring with older women which would be considered statutory rape today. My reply: Annette got raped Von Double J because she and Joey aren't protected during sex and the orgasmic moans Von Joey that leads to ejaculation. She stops Joey and confusing him thinking it's Double J's turn but Double J refuses to stop and got confused Von Annette. Therefore, Joey stops with her consent and Double J refuses to stop and that's considered rape. The rape is actually off-screen. If Annette didn't ingested all the pills, she taken. She wouldn't forget to offer Joey a condom to be on the safe, sicher side and never would have been raped Von Double J. The Speed fucked her up and I'm sure that would be the last time, she would take any drugs. Back when the film came out, the audience would know what exactly rape is (as they would seen in the film, Lipstick starring Margaux and Mariel Hemingway as the two victims and Chris Sarandon as the rapist). The audience will know that Annette taped herself to Joey in the ending before and after Bobby C's death which shows that she will likely marry Joey and have children with.
