i allways feel more bad for animals because kids can tell someone if their getting abused or something and animals cant

it is a known fact that in the uk if a program fictionial or otherwise shows animial cruelty they get 10 times times the amount of complaints then if child cruelty is shown - im not sure how it is in the rest of the world but this statistic makes me feel sick and about the children can speak comment - in abusive situations children are often too scared to speak cos they are told that telling someone will make it worse in some way.

I think children are more important than animals.

^ Eugh I dont. Im sorry but it PISSES ME OFF when people say "humans are more important" - um since when? Humans are so ignorant and just think that they're the best and above everything else. Animals are living things too arent they? They were fine till humans came along and destroyed their habitats and killed them for food or for fur or ivory. Yeah, they cant speak and they dont have as much brain power as us, but it doesnt mean theyre less important. They cant help being an animal, the same reason we cant help being human - we didnt choose to be who we are. No one is more important than anyone or anything else. The sooner people learned that, the better if you ask me. That is just my opinion but yeah.

I only chose Animal rights because I didnt really know what to choose, I chose randomly as I think theyre both important as each other.

I never said humans WERE more important, I said I THINK they're more important. I'm allowed that opinion.

And rights aren't just about abuse. There's things like empowerment etc that simply don't apply to animals.

This is exactly what's wrong with our society today! We are thinking more about how our own dog is feeling than our own race! Animals may not be able to tell what they need or want in the same way that humans can, but they do not have the same feelings as we do. They live by instinct, humans live by feelings. WE are worth MUCH more than animals! We are on top of the food chain because we are smart. Use your brains to think a little!
