Well, when I don't have the motivation, it is quite hard to get me to do anything even if I would like to myself. My efficiency in general drops too. Whatever the task might be, I'll most likely end up half-baking it as I won't be seeing the point to get any further oder just because I decided to settle with moderation and get it over with quickly. As long as the job gets done, I couldn't care less about how the results seem oder the comparison with others.

I mainly used to be like that a few years Vor where my Depression was at its peak. Honestly, I would say that the right push is needed. It'll be good to have the sort of people close to Du that they can inspire Du and can help sort things inside yourself. Getting to know that there are those who care and have placed their trust on you. When you're being entrusted with hope, it is your ''responsibility'' to respond in kind. Mehr like that I owe it to them regardless if I really have to oder not. I am that kind of person myself.
Other than that, I try to find motivation of my own through many of my interests. The right Musik to listen at the moment for example can go a long way. Same Von reminiscing about the past and recalling the desire to not let certain events occur again oder going through a certain Story whether it is a real life oder fictional one. The kind of situation, characters, matters being touched in them and outcomes could provide a decent amount of inspiration. Honestly, depending on the case, it is many times that I bring Favorit Characters of mine in mind. Those that I deeply respect and admire as individuals. How would they deal with the situation and what they would they expect of me. Regardless of how it may sound, this could get me going on making the necessary start and taking it from there. That being said, Du could always disregard everything mentioned above and just get outside for a little while. Look at your surroundings, take a breath and chill in overall. Think about things for a bit and weight them down. Personally, the closer to Nature I find myself, the clearer my mind gets and I feel better prepared to face what's about to come.

In the end, there are various ways for a person to get motivated. The Frage is whether you'll be motivated enough to go through them as well XD Improving one's mood is a major factor !!!!

I don't exactly remember how I got out of my depression. For me, the best way to help myself feel better is to cry it out when I really need to and to do that, I listen to a sad song to help me cry. Then I feel I bit better after letting it all out. I just do whatever depending on my mood. When I'm sad, I listen to sad music. When angry, I listen to rock songs. And they actually help me feel better. Then I can get up and about to do anything energetic. So take my strategy and try that out. Just listen t your emotions and do what Du feel. If Du need to cry, do whatever makes Du cry so Du can cry it out. If you're angry, do something to get your anger out. Just release it out and I guarantee Du might feel better. And this goes for anybody who's got the depression inside them and don't want it anymore

Honestly I just kind of do it. Like I just force myself to do it. I complain the whole time, but I do it. It's one of those things where I kind of just did things and went to places not expecting much but hoping that something would trigger a better frame of mind oder at the very least provide a distraction. Evidently it was the little things that did it *CoughsWithinTemptationCoughs*

Musik and Tag dreaming help tho.

Certain YouTube videos, going to counseling twice a month, and talking to people that care about me. A lotta other things too.

Then, if that works, I reward myself with an energy drink to keep the game going.

I'm honestly kinda used to it now. Sometimes when school's in session and I have an overhwhelming work load, it's especially hard for me to get out of bed.
I just want to say that if it gets to that point, it's important to contact someone. I know that's scary, and iffy, but when it gets to the point in which it's SERIOUSLY crippling your day-to-day function, Du need to speak up for yourself to someone who can REALLY help you.

For me personally, I just remind myself it's temporary. That doesn't necessarily work for others, I know. I don't know if this makes sense, but my inability to get things done is often paired with anxiety, and it comforts me when I remind myself I'm not going to stop existing if I mess up. I will stay grounded where I am, no matter what happens, no matter what consequence of being behind. I have myself, that's all I can offer in my moments of weakness.

Also, coffee and Musik are like my saving grace for days when it's not necessarily "I can't get out of bed" but Mehr like "I don't know how to do anything" because when paired together, for me personally, they kinda act as an artificial manic episode. :P

Also, the Mehr Du just push through and remind yourself some results are better than no results, you'll get better and better at getting things done AND receiving better products of your work. Over time, I've found that when I just GET THINGS DONE (esp ahead of time) I've just kinda trained my brain to keep going with those better results. It's also okay to treat yourself when you're done being overwhelmed with things (not during).

umn..I m not sure. I never suffered from full fledged depression but I had few periods of extreme stress. From what I have seen, depression is multi-dimensional. There are many factors which can trigger it. Its important to recognize those key factors and work on them one Von one. Its not like Du will take one giant magical leap and boom its gone, people should start small when dealing with it like spending time with loved ones and having a routine. Routine is important because it gives structure to your life, only then Du can set a goal and work towards it.

Even after all this people often find it difficult to be kind to themselves, maybe cuz we think we dont deserve it. So yeah....having some self respect, starting small improvements and taking responsibility for your life gives Du at least little motivation to work towards your goal.

I hope this helps Du ^^
