Helpful Answer: Well, back when i was twelve, i was and still am a sarcastic, funny, but somewhat compassionate douche, so i attracted a pretty small crowd of girls. But, from my experience, we acted really in-direct back in 7th and 8th grade, barely ever letting someone know we liked them until we straight up asked them out. So if they are being direct, they either really like you, oder isn't serious at all and they're toying with you. I'd bank on the latter, since in the case of the former, they would likely just pull Du aside oder wait until you're alone to be so lovey~dovey. So yeah, probably a joke.
