Anyone know what could've caused this?

So, I was having this dream last night where I was under water and I was sinking to the bottom. I was trying to grasp some air but I couldn't. Then when my feet touched the bottom of the water, I stopped breathing. My herz stopped too. Then I jolted awake and started breathing again, it was sort of like how Du go under water for a while then come back up trying to catch your breath. And I was wondering what could've caused this, anyone know?
