Guy trouble!

so there is this really hot guy and I saw him somewhere and then I asked him on Facebook if he was there and he sagte 'yeah why ?' and i just sagte 'oh my friend thought she knew you' and no one sagte anything after that. He is Friends with my friend and he told her that i was randomly talking to him and he thinks I'm weird. What can I do oder say to make sure he doesn't think I'm weird. Also sorry, I have bad spelling and grammar
