How do I get my friend to stop doing this?

Well, if your friend is doing that, then just let her. I've been through plenty of that stuff myself, too, having everyone thinking I'm weird and different because of something a friend of mine said. But people who spread those kinds of things aren't real Friends at all, and anyone who believes it isn't worth it, either. It will be forgotten in time. It may takes days, weeks, month, maybe even years (which I doubt it'll take that long, especially with summer coming.) But eventually everyone will get wrapped up in their own lives again and forget all about it. The best and only thing Du can do is wait for it to pass, because everything passes, even things like this.
But never forget what your "friend" did, and never entirely forgive them, either. Anyone who starts a fuss over religion is childish and not worth the trouble. It's best to take this as a learning experience so Du know what to look for when your "friend" decides to do it again, which they most likely and almost certainly will.

All I can tell Du is that she's not your friend.

The way I see it, Du have two options.

1. Think of some nasty/weird thing Du can tell people about her, and do it. If she ever asks why, tell her that you're NOT a polygamist.

2. Go up to her and tell her how what she's doing is hurting your feelings and everything. She probably isn't' your friend, but Du should give her a chance. Tell her that you're hurt and upset, and that you'll forgive her if she tells everyone that what she sagte was untrue. If she refuses, don't be her friend anymore, as she clearly isn't worth your time.

Du need to put a stop to it and if she doesnt stop thats the time u need to yell and tell her off!!!!!

Well, I agree this person is not your friend. I don't know what conversations Du have had with her, but Du may want to let her know she is being ignorant and ask (tell)her to stop. Then leave her out of your life, unless she make ammends. If your Friends tease Du just tell them they are not funny. I'm not an expert, but from what I know about the other sect, they keep pretty much to themselves. If Du were part of that sect, Du would probably not be in public school. If a real friend asks, I may answer with the facts once. After that, ignore the comments. Du will find out your real Friends are.

talk to her and if she doesn't stop well up to Du what Du wanna do, but i hope your problem gets solved i know how Du feel..
