A bit of literary help?

I was thinking about Schreiben a murder mystery and i wanted some ideas about how the murderer kills his victims. I was thinking something gruesome, something that hints the detective to the killers Weiter murder oder motives.

Hmmm.....what if the killer cuts off the victims appendages and cuts riddles into the skin then hides them for the detective to find, with each riddle leading to the Weiter body part?
