If you're actually 16, I'd expect an event like this to be the least of your problems.

Since i don't know him i can't conclude what he might be doing

If he usually mean to you, but in a non - bullying way. Like a teasing mean (Such as this)

If so then, it's a bit twisted way to do it, but he may be trying to get Du jealous. Perhaps if Du play the same trick Du could get him to come to you.

If he doesn't usually tease Du oder whatnot, then he may actually just be telling Du to bugger off.

It all depends on what his normal behaviour towards Du is :3
