"For whoever drinks it; probably." I disappeared and walked behind Obsidian. "Sir you're not doing to well." I whispered. "Madame I would be glad to show you to wherever you would feel most comfortable if you are done with your meal."

I gasped with happiness and drank it quickly,almost instantly getting better.I stood up straight and the major paleness went away.I then went around cleaning up.

"alright... What do you have here at this hotel California?" I got up. 'this place is suspicious... I could just leave through the night I suppose' I thought as I got up from my chair, pulling my bag over my head and on my shoulder.

"We have a very extensive collection of books if you enjoy reading."

"sure," I stepped away from the table, trying to think of how I could get out. "lead the way."

(Infinity Fraize) I ran down the road as fast as I could. There's was no way I could stay in that hell hole and get a lobotomy. With each step, sharp rocks pushed their way up into the soles of my feet. Looking back for a second, I tripped over my own feet and was launched forward. When I landed, I was utterly confused. Where I had landed was a fairly soft carpet. Maybe I really did belong in the mental institute... I glanced up and saw a woman cleaning in a maid's uniform cleaning. I didn't say anything.

I looked at a person on the floor."Oh my.The floor is no place for someone to be laying.I have had no time to clean yet."I helped the person up,putting on a bright smile."Welcome to Hotel California.One of the best hotels you'll find for miles. And one of the most SPECIAL."I kept smiling.

I escorted the guest to the vast library. "here we are please spend as much time as you'd like."

"...but...I was just running from... And I....um..." I thought for a second. 'is this real or was I knocked out?...maybe I got labotomized...?' I decided to go along with it. It seemed like a nice place nevertheless.

I smiled."So what is your name,stranger?"

"I'm Infinity, are you a maid?" I asked, figuring it was better to ask than assume.

"Why yes I am.It's nice to meet you.I'll show you to a room."

"my room? Um..ok" I went back into my thoughts. 'if I say I don't have money, I might not be able to be here and I'd be put inti the asylum again. If this is all just a dream or a figment of my imagination, it doesn't matter what I do. So the only thing to do is....go along with it.'

I showed him to a room and smiled."Here you are.Here is your room key.Please do enjoy your stay here."I then began walking away.

"oh, wait!" I shouted to the woman. "you have some kind of liquid on your mouth" I quickly opened the door and walked in, not waiting for a response.

I heard the man,then gently wiped the liquid off and licked it off my finger.

I decided to leave the dining hall after the guest had been escorted out. With the wine glass still in my hand I headed back to my own room. "More and more geusts are coming every day." I spoke quietly under my breath to my god. "More dolls to play with. I can't wait to see how you'll react to the wonderful job I've been doing. I do hope you come soon my grace!" I stumbled and caught myself against the wall. Unfortunately it was with the hand in which I held the wine glass. The glass shattered, spilling red wine all over the front of my shirt and cutting up my hand quite badly. "Well that's unfortunate..."

I looked over at the sound of glass shattering. I walked over to him. "My my. I just cleaned Herr and you have dirtied it already."I took his hand gently and looked at the blood. "And here you've gone and cut your hand up.". I began licking up his blood.

"I geuss the wine here is just a little too good!" I smiled, my face flushed from both the alcohol and her licking the blood from my fingers.

I smiled and continued licking his hand. "Obsidian.... I know you chose this outfit out for a reason.... Mind telling me what that reason might be?" I smiled at him, putting pressure on his cuts to try and stopthe bleeding.

"I have many outfits my dear, but this one seemed like it would be most comforting to our geusts that have just arrived. Sadly it also happend to be white....I fear this stain will never come out." I looked down at it. The red sreading out from the stain made it appeat as though I was the recent victim of a stabbing.

"I meant my outfit."

"Oh." I blushed again."My appologies. Well.....it seemed to be the most flattering choice for your figure. But If you don't like it you can wear whatever you like. I have no problems with that."

I smiled and got closer to him."I like it."I blushed lightly and smiled.

I smiled back."It does look very lovely on you."

"I've been working on a present for your birthday."

"Is it really getting to be that time again?" I moved a piece of hair away from her face."Don't spoil the suprise."

I smiled."Never.And I always remember your birthday.It's tomorrow."

"Ah yes,and I'll be....." I couldn't even remember my own age anymore. "Nevermind." I smiled again." I'm still alive, that's all that matters."

I giggled a bit."Yup.And that makes me very happy....You know.....Of the thousands of years I've been on this earth.....I've never met anyone quite like you."I smiled and put my hands in his,

I leaned against the wall after I went into the room. "in the future, guns will be sentient" I chuckled at the thought but became annoyed that it still happened. I sighed before I jumped at the sound of broken glass. I peaked through the peephole in the door and saw the maid licking what looked like blood off of a man's hand. 'the more I see, the more this feels like a nightmare' I thought as a shiver went down my spine. I glanced back to the room to see that there werent any windows in this room.

I moved to where the sound of the shattered glass came from. "My old friend what have you done this time going and ruining a perfectly good shirt. Ah but what kind of butler would I be if I couldn't remove a simple stain." I snapped my fingers and the stain burst into a black fire and burned away but left the white shirt unharmed. "And if you two are you going to act that way please make it private."

I looked at the corner of my eye with an insane look on my face,as if I were going to kill him,then turned and smiled at him."Of course.How foolish of me to do such a thing."I dusted off my skirt a bit."Well.I shall be retiring to my room.Good day you two."I began walking properly down the hall.

Xamys fell through the ceiling of some place he'd never seen before. When he was an inch away from faceplanting the floor he suddenly stopped and gently rested on the floor.

He sat up and looked around. "Okay, what happened to 'beach paradise race track?' I couldve sworn this was it! Oh well, it's exploring time now!" He ran for the nearest door and managed to trip and fall through the floor, knocking him out temporarily. He started humming in his unconscious state...

I looked through the giant library while I thought. 'any windows in here?....no....I've only found one door which was the door I came through....I could use something from one of my books to get out...? Maybe...' I thought to myself as I brought out a book from my bag and flipped the pages. I tried a teleporter to no avail. "hmph" I grumbled as I continued searching for a way out.

Jolene walked through the doors of the hotel, "H-hi can i get a room?" She asked.

"Good Day Emerald." I waved as she headed off. "Oh Xadonus, you're just jealous." I could sense more activity beginning to appear throughout the hotel. " Better prepare for more for our guests.....hmm, it seems some of them are trying to escape already. How amusing." I continued down the hall." I'm going to go change. Your magic may have removed the stain, but you never know if some one was watching." As I headed to my room I spied some one lying on the floor unconsious. I decided to see if he was okay.
"Um, excuse me sir but are you alright?" I squatted down and poked him on the shoulder.

Xamys started awake and looked at his poker. "Where am I exactly? And how long have I been here?" He sat up and poked the guy back. "You look cool, what's your name?"

I went into my room and looked at my project.A small statuette of his favorite animal sat there and was made purely out of human bone.I sat in front of it and started the finishing touches.M snake,Wordsworth,came out of my skull and slithered up my arm."You must be hungry.Here."I pulled a mouse out of a case I kept full of mice to feed my snakes.I gave it to Wordsworth and smiled."There you are buddy."

"Why thank you. My name is Obsidian and this is the hotel california. You've only been here for a little while, but it seems like you've gotten yourself quite the bruise there." I poked him in forehead, " So now it's your turn. What's your name?"

I sighed and sat down. "And once agin, no one will remember my birthday..... Both of ours are tomorrow..... That makes me a bit happy."I smiled and started to carve again.

"I wonder what's in this hotel, anyway..." I peeked my head out of my room and glanced around. "no one...?" I stepped out of my room and hid my room key in my clenched hand. I walked down the hall and around a few corners. "I wish I had some kind of sudoku or something I could use my brain with" I turned around and tried going back to my room. "....I'm lost..." I mumbled as I slowly walked through the halls in the general direction I had came.

"So, I'm in a Hotel? Neat...that's farther away from home than I thought it was! You've got a nice name, Obsidian...I'm Xamys, or Floaty if you like." He held out his hand for a handshake.

I gladly returned the hand shake. "Nice to meet you Xamys. Shall I find you a room?" I attempted to stand up, but sadly, fell back again. I caught myself on the wall with the injured hand and winced."Ah!....you'll have to excuse me, I'm a little....tipsy.At the moment."

"I'll be lonely tomorrow, as always.... I only wish that he would say yes......" I sighed and continued my carving, tying to get it out of my mind.

"Whoa, careful there! Don't want you faceplanting all over like I do! You okay? I'll help you...if ya want?" I reached out my hand, "And maybe you should lay off the drinks for a bit! I know I'd be falling through ceilings if I got wasted! Hahaha!"

I laughed."Thanks for the offer, but I'll be fine." I stood up. A little wobbly, but I managed to stay on my feet."It's difficult when you have to entertain geusts frequently." My hand smarted in protest to using it as a support again."Speaking of which, I should be on my way. There's so much to do in so little time, and I haven't even changed yet."

I kept carving,Wordsworth slithering up my arm and nestling around my neck.His favorite spot.He flicked his tail a bit and laid there.A tarantula walked across my foot and I looked down."Sarah?How did you get out again?Escape artist."I picked her up and put her back in her case,closing it tight.

I leaned up against one of the walls in one of the secret hallways in a normal set of clothes and smoked a cigarette. "Damn guests. I can't believe we have to put on this stupid show for them."
