The man could do nothing but stare. She had beautiful wavy black locks flowing down over a sweet and innocent yet mysterious and foreboding face. Her skin was porcelain, white as snow, and her frame was delicate. She wore a dress that reached about five inches below her knees made of a purple and gray fabric that seemed to be neither solid, nor liquid, nor air. However, this dress was torn at the bottom, and her arms and legs were covered in scratches that oozed blood which stood out in a bright scarlet red on her pale skin. She couldn't have been any older than 13. But the oddest feature thus far . . . Her eyes. About every Sekunde they pulsed in some bright color, it was different each time. As he made an attempt to Bewegen closer to her the girl stood up abruptly. She took one half-terrified half-curious look at him before turning around and fleeing, down the valley, into the forest, and disappearing within the trees.

June 26th, 1997. This was the first sighting of many. A lawyer Von the name of Marcus Jones spotted her while he was out on his usual morning jog. He claimed she was sitting Von the lake, trailing her finger through the water with a fascinated expression of her face. Once she ran away he came to his senses and called the police, chasing after her in fear that she might be homeless oder lost. The Suchen was in vain. But there was one last detail he never mentioned to the police.
Marcus was suddenly jerked out of his trance as he watched her run away. Who was she? And why was she so cut up? Was she hurt? Where was her family? Still dazed, he began to stumble after her.
"Hey, kid! Wait! Wh-What's your name?"
The girl stopped in her tracks. Very slowly, she rotated around to face him. A smile then spread over her face. Was it a sadistic smile, oder a sweet smile? He couldn't tell.
"I am The Monster Without a Name."
That was all she sagte before vanishing into the branches of the forest.

27 Jahr old Margaret Thomas claimed she spotted a young boy of around eight with eyes that glowed bright green, and odd attire playing with the squirrels in her backyard. Thinking it strange, she went outside and proceeded to ask him what his name was, and why he was on her property. He only stood up and drew his finger across his throat before running away, and seeming to disappear before her eyes at the edge of her yard. She panicked and called the police.

31 Jahr old Josiah Pinnick called the police in a panic saying that he couldn't work, because outside his window there was a woman with glowing white eyes and a flowing white dress staring at him from outside his office window with a smile on her face, but none of his co-workers seemed to be able to see her when he mentioned it too them. The police were skeptical, and once they finally arrived the woman had vanished. They thought he must be delusional, considering his office was on the fifth floor.

Carla Svendson recounted a strange tale she'd heard from her five-year old daughter Lydia about a week ago. Her daughter came running up to her sobbing violently one evening after playing on the porch. When her mother managed to calm her down and ask what was wrong, she claims her exact words were: "I saw old people with weird clothing smiling at me and Jenny (her doll) in the yard, they were covered in alot of red stuff." Carla ran to check and saw nothing. Her daughter then mentioned that both 'old people' had glowing blue eyes.

These are only three accounts of many that appeared throughout a span of those years. Over and over stories would pop up of mysterious, beautiful, yet terrifying people who all shared the same singular characteristic: they had glowing eyes. These stories were only ever centered around the USA, and became a kind of legend. Authority thought nothing of these many stories until accounts such as the following began to pop up:

A man with no identity was found dead near a small river in Eastern Vermont. It seemed that he had been stabbed to death, and the lady who found the body claimed that she saw a girl with eyes that glowed bright purple fleeing the scene.

A police officer in New York was shot to death while on duty. A couple out on a walk heard the sounds and went to investigate, only to find him dead. It seems that his gun was taken from him and then used against him. The husband sagte he saw mysterious apparition: A man with eyes that glowed bright Gold standing on the roof of the building closest to them.

Mehr and Mehr murder accounts with similar circumstances were appearing rapidly all over the country, all of them involving someone with glowing eyes who disappeared without a trace. But they became even Mehr than just that: One Von one, the bodies of those who had been killed began vanishing into thin air. No matter how well people kept watch, they would turn around one day, and discover the corpse had disappeared.
Soon even those in high authority began to see these apparitions. And that was the last straw. Everyone from the police to the FBI was called to investigate these people. They began to put the pieces together and went out in hunt of the creatures that had now been nicknamed, rather obviously, 'The Glowing Eyes'. Some theorized they were an organization similar to the mafia, others thought they were omens signaling the end of the earth. But whatever they are, they are still being hunted now. Some people have even been caught and imprisoned. Most of these cases were false, but those that were real committed suicide while confined. To this Tag no one knows what they really are, oder why they attempt to kill humans. But many people are oblivious to the silent hidden war going on between the human government, and the mysterious Glowing Eyes.

The Aturi Haibane
The Aturi Haibane are a strange species of Supernatural creature that have only recently come into existence again in the past 100 years. They have been hinted at throughout mythology, but hardly anyone knows of this evidence, since most of it was destroyed. But it has always been in the same way: depictions of humanoid creatures of varying shapes with glowing eyes who possess odd abilities. There was even an old scroll recovered during an excavation which told of "A war waged against the monstrous humans whose eyes shone like the sun." But a few weeks after its discovery this record was somehow stolen, and no word has been spoken of it since.
The Aturi Haibane live in a similar fashion to native American Indians. They make their homes out in nature, using whatever they can find to create a dwelling. Their bodies are made in ways that seem to specifically allow for them to live in such a way, which is how the Clans were formed. They aren't completely primitive, some have abilities relating to technology, meaning that they in particular usually end up using some sort of electronic device. But for the most part they rely on their abilities to form a society and a government.
The Dwelling Clans
Aturi Haibane are all born with a specific modification in their bodies that allows then to interact with nature in some way. Thus, as the current population grew, the clans were formed in order to teilt, split them up and keep things organized. A child's modification is determined slowly as they grow older. Usually, modifications are passed down through families according to gene. But on the off chance that one is born with a modification not matching its clan, the Aturi Haibane government remains strict. As soon as the child is able to live on their own then they are sent away to make a living in the clan they belong in.
The Agaci Clan
Aturi Haibane who apart of the Agaci Clan make their living up in the trees, and sometimes the mountaintops, since their modification allows them to climb far better than the average human oder Aturi Haibane. Their hands and feet often seem to stick to surfaces as if they were flies. They tend to have very supple limbs enabling them to swing, schaukel through branches, and their fingers are often rather slender, and can be put into whatever small cracks are needed to pull themselves higher. Climbing is their specialty, and they tend to make their homes in very tall trees oder the sides of cliff and mountains.
The Kir Clan
Aturi Haibane who are apart of the Kir Clan have modifications that make them extremely similar to moles and other such animals. They can dig extremely well, almost four times Mehr effectively than a very strong and large shovel could, and have a natural attraction to what lies in the ground. Finding metals, communicating with earth-bound creatures (not those that walk on the ground, things that live IN the ground), things like that. As a result, the Kir clan lives underground, spreading themselves out Von making Mehr and Mehr extensive tunnels and caverns. Du might find what seems to be a whole town if Du dig deep enough.
The Su Clan
Aturi Haibane who are apart if the Su clan have modifications having to do with water. They often have gill-like structures oder something else similar on their necks that open up when they enter water. Their toes and fingers have clear nearly invisible webbed flaps between them that work like flippers. So they make their homes under the water. Building domes and houses using whatever materials they can find, they have managed to produce several types of waterproof material. Although the majority of them alive now dwell in the oceans surrounding the USA, some live in deep lakes scattered throughout the country.
These clans are Von no means out in the open. Their homes are carefully hidden through means of different abilities, and a natural connection to nature. Despite the clans being extremely spread out the higher-ups of each clan still manage to run a tight government.
Although the clans are not currently at war, they have been in the distant past, and do not necessarily get along. Each one lives Von its own laws that those particular leaders have set up, and Mehr often than not these differences cause them to disagree with each other. As of now, marriage oder Liebe between clans is forbidden.
Aturi Haibane Abilities
Each Aturi Haibane gains an 'Akerbic Form' at some point in their life, which is the key to their abilities. This form is essentially the art of releasing your soul from your body and making it take raw form, causing the user to change in appearance and ability. Sometimes the change in appearance is drastic, the user might gain monstrous features such as sharp teeth, animal characteristics, oder even becoming a monster. And for others it is merely a change of hair oder eye color. It all depends on the soul.
Each soul contains an ability that is unique to every person. It also has a unique name that often seems to cone to Aturi Haibane in their sleep, oder in the form of a vision. However, this ability can only be harnessed when an Aturi is in its Akerbic form. Acquiring this form quickly and efficiently takes practice, and sometimes even the way of doing so is unique. Some require an object, some require an incantation, other just need Mehr and Mehr practice and can do it mentally. It becomes easier with time.
These abilities are the exact reason for the Aturi Haibane's distinguishing feature: their glowing eyes. Each Aturi Haibane has eyes that glow a different color. Their eyes always pulse in this color, and it becomes far Mehr visible at night, but it glows brightest when they are in their Akerbic form. So far there is no pattern that can be seen, nor is there a special color for a certain kind of ability, it all depends on the person. Since there are not a million shades in the world Du will often see Aturi whose eyes glow the same color.
It should be noted that when they are not in their Akerbic forms Aturi Haibane are normally not distinguishable from humans besides their eyes, which give them away.
Okoshi: The Gaurdian Spirits
The Aturi Haibane themselves do not know exactly what the Okoshi are. But according to their basic mythology, they are mystical spirits who came into the existence at the sane time as they did, and therefore have a special connection with them. Okoshi are fairy-like creatures that can take on a great variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. They act like guardian spirits to the Aturi Haibane, and almost everyone has an Okoshi following them around. Most gain an Okoshi guardian at birth, parents may find them hovering around their newborn child's head.
Okoshi can communicate telepathically with their Aturi Haibane masters, seeing as they act as both guardians and senses of reason. Although they don't have extremely prominent abilities, many do have a small power that they can use to affect reality to a limited extent, the most common being the ability to alter fate very slightly.
Marks of Prophecy
The Marks of Prophecy are rather like a legend of sorts among the Aturi Haibane. About one-third of the Aturi gain a special mark similar to a tattoo at some point during their childhood, oder even during their teenage years, commonly found along the back oder shoulders. Many people believe that these marks are a sign of what may come in a person's later life, a prediction of the future. Some Aturi have actually lived lives as their mark 'prophesied', but most believe that to be a fluke since most go their entire lives without discovering what their marks symbolize.

There is Mehr than one way to become one of the Aturi Haibane.
There are, of course, the naturals, which is what the majority of the population is composed of. Aturi Haibane reproduce just like normal humans do, which is how their numbers have increased so much over the years.
But then there are the half-bloods. What makes an Aturi an Aturi is not only genes, but your soul. Normal humans can become Aturi Haibane through the means of death. Very skilled Aturi know how to transport a small portion of their soul over to the dead body directly after the original soul has left it. It requires some skin-to-skin contact, which is why most prefer to kill with knives oder bare hands. Once this soul fragment has a new host, no matter how damaged that host is, it will slowly grow and develop into an entirely new Aturi soul, which will then be reincarnated as an Aturi Haibane. These reincarnated bodies tend to find their way to the Aturi society Von instinct. Thus, half-bloods are only Aturi Von soul, and not Von gene.
The Future of the Society
Much of the Aturi Haibane society remains a mystery even to themselves. In truth they do not know when they first came into existence, oder why many aspects of their living are even necessary. Only the higher-ups know the secret behind this, and they have always seemed to be hiding something.
And so, they have been pursuing the above stated soul technique to accomplish one goal: Convert the human population entirely into Aturi Haibane. Again, many do not know exactly why this is their goal. Only the leaders seem to know this information. But nevertheless, they continue to kill, and they've begun their operation right here in the USA.
