September 13, 2009 I was walking downstairs texting on my cell phone and bumped into Prince. I sat down at the tabelle and my phone vibrated. I picked it up and responded to the message. Grandma said” Du act like that phone is glued to your fingers Alanna, are Du ever going to shut that off”? I didn’t answer her because I was too preoccupied with texting my friends. My Grandmother became aggravated Von this and snapped her fingers in front of my face to get my attention. She said” I need Du to watch your siblings tonight”. I sagte “I can’t I’m busy”. She sagte “you can and Du will”. She then sagte “I’m starting to get sick of your attitude A.J”. After Grandma had left and the kids had gone to sleep I went into the bathroom and opened the window. Without Sekunde guessing my actions I climbed out the window, leaving my siblings Home alone to fend for themselves. Praying that they would not wake up, I started Grandma’s car because she had gotten a ride from someone. After driving for a while I sent my friend a text saying that I was able to sneak out of the house. When I looked up from my cellphone I was Sekunden away from hitting a tree! I didn’t have time to swerve out of the way. I crashed into the tree, with a SLAM!!!! I wasn’t as hurt as I thought I would have been. I got out to look at the car and sagte in shock “holly shit, I’m dead”. The front end of the car was completely smashed in. I knew I was in some HUGE trouble, so I decided to just go Home because it couldn’t get any worse than it already was. I guess I was wrong, because when I got in the car it would not start. The only thing left to do was to call Grandma. I dialed her number and she sagte “how is everything going at home”? I sagte “I don’t know how to tell Du this but; I snuck outta the house to go hang out with my Friends and crashed your car into a tree”. She hung up the phone and within 20 Minuten her friend came to pick me up. When we pulled into the driveway I got out of the car and opened the door not ready to face who was waiting for me on the other side. Grandma, Prince, Paris and Blanket were all in the living room. Grandma sagte in a very stir voice “sit down right now Alanna Michael Jackson”!!! I sat down and she sagte “are Du alright”? I sagte “yea just a few scratches and bumps”. Grandma sagte “you’re lucky that’s all that happened to you”. She asked” how did Du crash my car into a tree”? I sagte texting on my cellphone”. Prince asked “A.J can see Du phone for a minute”? I passed him my phone saying” sure”. He threw it on the ground and stepped on oben, nach oben of it until it was completely broken. He gave me back the remains of my cellphone and said” here Du go”. Grandma said” I can’t believe Du left them Home alone Alanna”!!! Blanket said” I woke up because I had a bad dream and was crying while trying to find you”. Prince said” he came to wake Paris and me up; we thought something happened to you”. This brought me to tears and I apologized. Going to bett that night I went into Prince’s room and laid in the bett with all three of my siblings. I wrapped my arms around all of them as to make them feel safe. As I was shutting my eyes I noticed that Blanket was clutching a picture of dad. At that exact moment I realized that even though Grandma was their guardian I was the one person who had always been there for them, even after the passing of my father. I was NOT about to let that change
