February, 2, 2011, I woke up with Reegan lying Weiter to me crying. I picked him up and said” what’s wrong R.J?” As I was holding him a few mean text messages from Prince showed up on Chris’s phone. I deleted them as Chris was walking into the bedroom. I passed Reegan to him and said” you’re changing diapers while I’m pregnant because I can’t stand the smell!!!” He sat down on the bett and said” I feel like such a jerk, your brother hates me!!!” I put my arm around him and said” I feel bad about it too.” Chris said” what we did was worth it though… he will forget about it once he sees the baby for the first time.” I passed Chris the baby wipes and said” I was hoping that later Weiter Jahr we would be done changing diapers for a while!!!” He plugged his nose and said” this is so gross; how do Du do this all the time?” I laughed and said” Du better get used changing diapers before the baby is born because you’ll have twice as much to change when I go on tour!!!” After Chris was done changing Reegan I put Spongebob on the T.V. and put my socks in the laundry basket. Chris kissed me and said” I am so glad we are have a baby together…I Liebe Du so much babe!!!” I said” I Liebe Du too; everything that happened when we were messing around in Florida was pure true love!!! He said” I told my dad that Du are pregnant last night; he seems to be the only one besides us that is excited!!!”Reegan stood up on the bett and was trying to take his first steps and I said” he is so ready to walk!!!” Chris picked him up and said” we need to get all of that stuff out of your old bedroom so he doesn’t get used to sleeping with us.” We walked into my old room and Chris put Reegan on the couch because that was the only place without stuff all over it!!! I look around the room and said” where should we start?” Chris grabbed my woody doll and gave it to Reegan. I laughed and said” I used to pull the string so much on that thing it would snap right off!!! Chris pulled the string and Reegan started crying.” I picked and said” well, apparently he is scared of talking toys!!!” Chris kissed him on the forehead and tried to give the doll to him. Reegan buried his face in my shoulder and said” no Daddy!!!” I glanced down at the floor and saw an envelope hidden Von some clothes and picked it up. I pulled out the piece of paper inside and read it out loud:
I’m sitting here Weiter to your crib… your almost a Jahr old now and I can’t wait to see what you’ll become!!! I can already tell Du are going to be a handful, but that doesn’t matter to me because you’re a beautiful gift from God. I think about your future all the time but, now I realize that I have to live in the present. I don’t know how much your disability will affect Du and that is NEVER going to bother me because I Liebe Du no matter what!!! All I know is that I Liebe YOU!!!

Chris looked at me and said” Du going to be O.K. Alanna?” I took a deep breath and said” well, this is as good as I’m going to be.” He put his hand on my shoulder and said” I’m here if Du need me!!!” He took Reegan out of my arms and put him on the floor. Reegan grabbed Chris’s pant leg and stood up. I sat on the ground and said” come here R.J.; Du can do it!!!” He wobbled he way into my arms and I said” YEAH; HE DID IT!!!” I tossed him in the air and he laughed as I caught him!!! Chris smiled and said” I can’t believe how big he is getting!!!” I kissed Reegan on the cheek and said” there is too much for me to be happy about;I can’t spend the rest of my life living in the past.”…..
February, 3, 2011, I’ve decided that today I’m testing Chris to see if he can take care of Reegan Von himself. We finally cleaned out my old room so Reegan can sleep in it. I could hear him starting to cry from the baby monitor in our room and woke up Chris. He said” what…. I’m sleeping still?” I laughed and said” no you’re not; I am going to watch Du take care of Reegan all Tag to see how Du do!!!” I got out of bett and walked into Reegan’s room and Chris followed behind me. He said” Hey buddy; Du are going to hang out with me today!!!” Reegan sneezed as Chris was taking him out of his krippe and I laughed. Chris said” gross; where are the tissues at?” I passed him one and he gave it to Reegan. I said” he’s one… he can’t wipe his nose!!!” Chris took the tissue from him and looked at me. I walked over to them and said” your Daddy has no idea what he’s doing!!!” Chris wiped Reegan’s nose and said” no, your Mommy is just impatient!!!” We went downstairs and Chris put Reegan in his highchair. I said” Du might want to cover your ears!!!” Reegan screamed at the oben, nach oben of his lungs and I said” if Du can’t tell already he doesn’t like sitting in there.” Chris gave him his bottle and I said” he’s not allowed to have a bottle anymore.” Chris said” why; what’s wrong with it?” I passed him a Sippy cup and said” he is getting too old for a bottle; I’m weaning him off of them!!!” Chris took the cup and said” you’re not making this any easier for me!!!” I laughed and said” It’s not supposed to be easy….it’s parenthood!!!” He poured some Obst Loops on Reegan’s tray and sat down in a chair. Reegan was trying to feed Chris the cereal and said” eat Daddy!!!” Chris said” no, Du eat it.” I gave him a shocked look and said” here R.J. I’ll eat some!!!” I said” come on Chris…go along with it!!!” I took a piece of cereal off the tray and put it in Chris’s mouth. He said” yum…that tastes so good.” He picked Reegan up and walked into the living room. He put him down and turned on the T.V. I sat on the couch and Chris changed the channel to Sports Center. Reegan pressed play on the DVD player and Cars started. Chris said” Hey I was trying to watch that!!!” I said” I’m pretty sure that before the Tag is over you’ll know every word in this movie!!!” He laughed and said” that’s just great!!!” I was looking at Reegan as he tried to push the hair out of his face. I said” I think it’s time to give him his first haircut.” Chris said” there’s no way I’m cutting his long blonde hair!!!” I said” babe; he can barely see where he is going!!!” Chris looked at him and said” fine….if we are going to cut it lets do it now and get it over with!!!” I said” you’re cutting it because I have a feeling that he is going to want to sit on my lap!!!” I put a dinning char in the living room and picked Reegan up!!! I sat in the chair and ran my fingers through his hair. Chris came over with the buzz cutter in his hands. He turned them and the noise scared Reegan. I said” it’s alright buddy…it doesn’t hurt!!!” Reegan pulled away and I had to hold his head still. After a few Minuten he started to laugh because of how the buzz cutter felt on his head. Chris smiled and said” see it’s not that bad!!!” I said” Du better hurry up because he needs his diaper changed.” Chris said” how do Du know that he needs to be changed?” I said” because there’s something wet and warm going down my pant leg and into my sock!!!” He started cracking up and then I started laughing!!! When Reegan was done getting his hair cut I took him off my lap and stood up. Chris looked at my pants and started to cry with laughter. I took my socke off and threw it at him!!! I ran upstairs and Chris followed me with Reegan in his arms. After I changed my clothes I said” we should give Reegan a bath….you’re helping me!!!” As we were giving him a bath Chris got soaking wet from Reegan splashing him. When it was time for Reegan to go to bett I sat in a rocking chair and sang him to sleep. Chris and I went to our bedroom. We were lying in bett and Chris said” Du are a really good mom!!!” I said” you’re a good dad too!!!” He said” does this mean I can watch him while you’re on tour?” I said” yes; I can trust Du now that Du know what you’re doing!!!”
