"LOST IN AUSTEN" (2008) Review

I must admit that I am usually not a Fan of novels oder any other forms of storytelling that are based upon oder continuations of published works of the origin author. This is certainly the case for the numerous works (sans two) based upon Jane Austen's six published novels.

The 2008 miniseries, "LOST IN AUSTEN" is not based upon any particular Austen novel that was not written Von the Georgian Era writer. Instead, it is the brainchild of screenwriter Guy Andrews. The latter created this fantasy-comedy, which is an adaptation of Austen's novel, "Pride and Prejudice"...

*Six hours no longer seems like a long time.

*You begin to wonder why all Filme are not six episodes long.

*You have memorized where the commercial breaks come as well as the order of the commercials in each break.

*You watch the movie all the way through non-stop - then rewind it and start all over again.

*The movie just keeps on getting better every time Du watch it.

*On a Kürzlich visit to a local lake, Du were inspired to dive in and go swimming fully clothed.

*Your relatives and Friends no longer think that Du are strange for asking them to call Du "Lizzy".

I've published twenty Bücher in genres from memoir to mystery but I never thought of doing an Austen mashup until I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

While I enjoyed Zombies at first because it was surprising and funny, eventually it started to feel like a one-note protest against all the decorous PBS Austen series and all the die-hard Austen Fans around the world. Dude, forget carriages and bonnets, gimme brains!
