Himeno Awayuki is a 16 Jahr old girl who Lost her mother at a young age. Her father use to be a famous book writer until her mother died, so Himeno was the one who had to take care of both her and her father. Kaoru (Himeno's father) married Nastue, a rich woman who was a widow with two daughters, Mawata and Mayune (in the anime, it says her former husband died). Being distant with her new family, she meets 7 Leafe knights: Hayate, Sasame Goh, Kei, Mannen, Hajime, and Shin. They say that they need her to be the Pretear in order to stop Ferir the Princess of Disaster of taking Leafe (main Quelle of life) from the Earth Von demon larvae.
Hayate is the Knight of wind, the leader of the team, and very hostile towards Himeno, not accepting her as the new Pretear because he doesn't want the same mistake to happen again like in the past; when Takako (former Pretear) confessed her Liebe to him and he rejected her; leaving her depressed and becoming Fenrir, the Princess of Disaster. He gets a job as Kaoru's assistant(Kaoru haves a new hobby of sculpting after he quit writing), to keep an eye on Himeno. As he gets to know Himeno, he starts liking her and eventually falls in Liebe with her. Hayate hides his feelings for her Von calling her "Tulip-Head". Himeno herself falls in Liebe with Hayate after getting to know that beneath his hard exterior, is kindness.
Kei is the Knight of light. He works at a video game making company. He dislikes children; even though it might seem he may like them.
Goh is the Knight of fire. He works at a restaurant as a waiter. He usually takes care of the younger three knights.
Sasame is the Knight of sound. He works at a radio station company to take care of people who have life issues. He's in Liebe with Takako, the former Pretear who became Fenrir.
Mannen is the Knight of ice and the leader of the younger group of Leafe Knights. He died 16 years Vor while sealing away Fenrir and is reborn again.
Hajime is the Knight of water. He is the Sekunde oldest of the younger group. Just like Mannen, he died while sealing Fenrir and was reborn again.
Shin is the Knight of plants. He is the youngest out of all the Knights. In the beginning they tried using him to find the Pretear Von using his cuteness to attract girls. He died as well in the past while sealing Fenrir and was reborn. In the Anime Du won't see Himeno and Shin preting.
