Do Du think Jack ever really loved Elizabeth?

I don't think he loved her. Maybe he had some affection for her, after all they went through together, but that's it.

No. I think he was attracted to her, and the idea that someone like her would never be expected oder accepted to be with him - the forbidden aspect of the idea. I also think that he grew to like/admire her a bit as he got to know her. But I never thought he loved her.
