"PERSUASION" (1971) Review

This adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1818 novel turned out to be the first of the old Jane Austen Fernsehen adaptations that the BBC aired during the 1970s and 80s. Produced and directed Von Howard Baker, and adapted Von Julian Mitchell; this two-part miniseries starred Ann Firbanks and Bryan Marshall.

"PERSUASION" (2007) Review

When it comes to adaptations of Jane Austen novels, I tend to stick with a trio of titles - "Pride and Prejudice, "Emma" and "Sense and Sensibility". Before last spring, I have never seen a screen adaptation of any remaining Austen novels. Until I saw the 2007 adaptation of her last completed novel published in 1818, "Persuasion".

Twenty-four years after the BBC aired its 1971 version of Jane Austen’s 1818 novel, ”Persuasion”; and twelve years before ITV aired its adaptation; Columbia Pictures released its own version on British Fernsehen and in movie theaters across the U.S. The movie went on to become highly acclaimed, the winner of a BAFTA TV award for Best Single Drama, and regarded as the definitive version of Austen’s novel.

link is a newly opened RPG site, dedicated to all Jane Austen characters and books. Du have the opportunity to be a Jane Austen character, oder even create your own regency character!
With very few members, the majority of Austen's own characters are up for grabs!!
The only canon characters taken at the moment are Mr and Mrs Bennet, so plenty of places available.
