i paced back and forth in my room.i had to do something.i thought.i walked over to my window and looked at the world outside my dad never let outside i don't really no why though.ever since i could remember my dad always blamed me for the death of my mother i remember the nights i cried myself to sleep when he locked me in my room.now that i think of it my dad never really told me how my mother looked like.but today i had enough.enough of his lies and neglect i have decided to run away away from here.i grabbed my bag a and put a piece of paper and a pencil, pocket messer and a wallet.i put on a short sleeve hemd, shirt some shorts and my black high tops since it was the middle of July.my dad was down stairs doing who knows what so i opened my window and slid down the drain pipe.once i felt the grown i started running i didn't no where to but i had to get away from here before my dad comes up stairs to my room.i ran into the forest (i live in Washington not the famish white house Washington but the rainiest state in the country Washington)i didn't look back the only thing i new was that i wasn't leaving anything i loved behind.once i was about a mile oder two away i slowed down.i looked around.so this is how the forest looks like.i thought.like i sagte i never been in the outside world.once i came out of the forest and to a rode i kept going strait.i came to a stop when i saw a gas station up ahead i ran to it.i opened the door and the little glocke above rang."hello sweetie".the clerk said.she looked like a middle age women she kind of looked like me long wavy black hair and bright icy blue eyes.i gave her a faint smile.i looked around for something to eat there was a bunch of shampoo and toothbrushes and other stuff for like camping.then i came across some energy bars."well good enough".i mumbled.i grabbed a hand full and dumped it on the counter in front of the clerk.she looked at the many energy bars with out a word."don't Du think your kind of young to be traveling Von your self hon".the clerk said.i looked up at her."ya i guess so".i said."so wheres your dad".she asked.i glared at her but she didn't met my gaze."actually I'm running away, my dad doesn't care he doesn't really care what i do".i sagte opening up a bar."i bet that's not really true Du look like a girl that has a dad that really loves her".she said.but before i could answer a boy comes in, he has brown hair and light blue eyes he looked about my age 14 he was wearing a blue baseball cap,some jeans and a white shirt.he had a back pack slung over his shoulder.he put a can of soda on the counter and looked at my pile of energy bars."want to get a real meal kid".he said.once he sagte it my stomach grumbled and i clutched it with my arm so without hesitation i sagte "sure". i slipped the bars in my bag a head out the door with a kid that i don't even no.but out of the corner of my eye i could see the clerk starring at me so i quickly went out the door.the boy took me to a reauterant a mile away from the small store.we went in and the warmth and smell of the burgers made my mouth water."what can i get Du kids".the waiters asked."um can i get a burger and fries please".i asked."um nothing for me".the boy said.i stared at him."your not getting anything at all?".i asked.he shook his head."whats your name kid?".he asked."Alice".i said."hmm I'm tray".he said.the waitress came back with my order."so what brings Du to the middle of nowhere kid?".tray asked.i ate a fry and then answered."I'm running away from my dad i wanted to see the world".i said."but why di-".but before i could finish he shoot another Frage at me."whats your dad like?".i gulped down another fry."um he's a book writer and he's mostly never Home sometimes he would be gone for days and sometimes something would pop in his head remanding him he has a kid to get back to. i guess its a good thing i knew how to cook oder else i would of died of hunger".i sagte as i took a bite out of my burger."what about Du why are Du here?".tray leaned back and then answered."i guess that's something we have in common were both running away from our dads my dad is one of those dads that leaves for days".he chuckled."guess that's another thing we have in common any way i left because i was tired of him always bring my up for money for his gamboling sometimes i would get so mad because there was never enough money to get Essen so i guess that's what drove me to it.iv been gone for a Monat i bet he doesn't care where i am".i stared down not knowing what to say."have Du seen anything strange lately".he asked randomly i stared at him as if he just insulted me."what?".was the best thing i could say."you no things that Du no that don't exist but Du still see them".he sagte now whispering.but before i could stop myself i yelled out."yeah!".i looked around and saw that every one was looking at me i leaned in and whispered."can Du help me all these things i see they shouldn't exist but i still see them like one time i saw a huge black dog with red eyes and another time i saw like a mermaid girl underwater".
i leaned back down to catch my breath."but Du still didn't answ-".but i was cut short when he said."i knew it".he sagte staring at me."what."i said.but before he could answerer he said."we have to get out of here."tray said. he looked out the window and then looked back at me."we have to go fast."and without warning he grabbed my hand and dragged me outside."wait."i sagte dragging my feet on the ground we were already in the forest and tray kept dragging me looking around as if we were being watched."why should i go with Du i just met you?".i asked."you wont understand."tray said.i snatched my hand back and stopped in my tracks."your right i wont understand because basically my hole life has been a lie."i said.tray turned around and glared at me."Alice exactly how much do Du know about Greek myths?"i thought for a moment and then answered."well i know the Greek gods and goddess's wait what does that have to do with anything?and Du still haven't answered my question."tray looked around as if waiting for something to happen."i promise ill answer all your Fragen later but right now we have to get to new york."my head spun what was he talking about and what about all those Zufällig questions."wait what are yo-."but i was cut short when something came running though the forest i stood there Frozen when it appeared in full view it looked like a bär but with the head of a women she had her hair put up in a tight bun."run!".tray said.i didn't have to be told twice so i ran with all my might.we kept on running until we bumped into another boy he had brown hair and brown eyes i got my self up and looked around to see if the monster was still chasing us."are Du a..."tray started."yes".the boy said."um guys not to be rude a monster is coming after us."i said.but it was to late to run the monster already caught up to us it came towards us then it glared at me."Alice run!"the boy said.but before i could the monster came charging at me."Alice catch"tray therwed something i caught it and saw that it was a small metallic bracelet with a silver herz dangling at the bottom."click it!"tray yelled.i clicked the silver herz and intently made a silver arc shape with little designs on it and a thin piece of silver silk string tied it self to the ends of the arc then i realized it was a bow and Arrow and intently a long silver Arrow was ready to go. i looked back at the monster and was almost to me.i had no idea how to use a bow but something inside of me made me pull the string and sent the Arrow flying right into the monsters chest it howled in pain,it slashed its paws at me but i dodged them and sent another Arrow to its throat it cried again and disappeared into smoke.i walked back to tray and the boy we ran into who was standing there Schauspielen as if nothing just happened."what was that?"i asked panting for air."i told Du she was special."tray said."indeed she is."the boy said.
"I'm SAM."he said."oh my gods i have to get Du guys to new york."what was he talking about i couldn't process what he was saying but that's when it all went black.the Weiter time i woke up i was on a bett in a room,i looked around it looked ancient a lot of dust all over the place and there was a huge shield hung on the wall.i got up and started walking but once i put pressure on my legs i fell down so i grabbed the walls for support and made my way down the stairs.when i was down stairs there was no one there so i went though the front door and sure enough things couldn't get any stranger.i found tray and the boy SAM sitting on a picnic tabelle with a huge horse but with the front half was totally human.i rubbed my eyes to make sure i was seeing it right."Alice your awake."tray said."are Du sure i think I'm still dreaming."i said.they all looked at each other then the horse dude said."um why don't Du guys go i think me and Alice have a lot to talk about."they got up and left."have a set."he said.i sat down."so Alice um where should i start?um well how much do Du no about Greek gods."i looked at him what was with that question."well i know all the Greek gods."he nodded."and tell me who do Du live with?"he asked."i lived with my dad but i ran away he doesn't really care what i do."he nodded in understatement.but then all of a sudden he looked up at my head and gasped."what?"i asked.i looked up and saw a silver glow and a image of a deer above me head."what the heck is that?"i asked.i got up and and started to wave my hands around the thing on my head hoping it would go away."a daughter of Artemis."he mumbled."what does that mean?"i asked but for some reason people here don't answer my questions.every one was quite and looked at.what was with these people?what was going on?and then i remembered what he sagte a daughter of Artemis and then it hit me."wait are Du trying to say I'm the daughter of a mythical Greek goddess?"i asked not believing every thing i was saying.he nodded."are Du people crazy?! how am i going to be the daughter of something that doesn't exist?"i said.but as always no answer to what i just said."a daughter of Artemis is really rare since Artemis isn't known to create relationships."he said."no no no."i sagte feeling dizzy all over again."it cant be true my mother died when i was born."he shook his head no."you were probably told that so Du wouldn't no about your real background.some demigods can lead normal lives others cant all just depending how strong they are,and Du my dear are very strong."i backed away from the tabelle i felt like screaming and crying all at the same time.how could my father keep something this big of a secret from me?"come with me."he said."ill take Du to your cabin.there was a whole lot of cabins some made of Gold others made of pure Blumen we stopped at a kabine that was all silver(which of course was no surprise)it was held Von to large columns.we went inside and there was bows and arrows from Wand to Wand but the strange thing about it was that there was lonely on bunk."where are all the others."i didn't expect for to answer but he said."like i sagte a daughter of Artemis is really rare and in that case Du are the only one here."i notice that on my bett neatly folded was a orange T-shirt and a fresh pair of jeans."enjoy your stay."he sagte and left. it took me about 2 week to rape my head around the fact that i was here at a Greek god camp.but since i came at around the end of July most of the campers were getting ready to go home.i met up with tray at the dining plivona and he asked me to go on a walk with him.we walked into the woods listening to the sound of monsters which didn't scare me anymore."hey Du sagte that Du would answer all my Fragen when every thing made since so here we are so start talking."i demanded.he took a deep breath and said."OK what do Du want to no first."i thought for a moment and then said."how did Du no who i was when Du met me?"he took a Minute to answer."well um your not going to believe me when i say that my dad told me all about my secret life,he came Home once drunk and i guess he didn't no what he was saying.i didn't want to believe it but it explained so much and when i saw you,you looked so much like your mom i guessed Du where one of us and now here we are."i looked down at the ground not sure what to say."OK my turn to ask Du a question."he said."OK."i said."OK so um camp is ending and i was wondering if your going to stay oder leave."the Frage caught me off guard i hadn't really thought about but even if i did want to go where would i go not back with my dad that's for sure."you no Du can in role into a public boarding school."he said."i no I'm just not sure."i sagte my voice low."well Du better hurry the vans are going to be here soon."my head was buzzing with thought of where i was going to stay but since my dad never told me nothing about my family i have no idea where to go."i guess il-."but i was broke off when SAM came running up behind us."guys hurry the vans are here are Du guys ready to go?"tray looked down at me."Alice I'm leaving im going to go live with my grandparents they live in up state new york."he said."sam go tell chiron im staying."sam nodded and trodded off."are Du sure?"tray asked.i nodded."this is where i belong."and then with no warning he leaned down and kissed me.i hope he didnt see me blush.i looked up and his face was as red as i felt."um ill see Du Weiter Jahr alice."i watched him as he went to the vans and then dissaperd.then i truned around and walked back to my kabine excited to see what the Weiter Jahr at camp would bring.
