I waited expectantly to feel the pain of teeth oder poison, oder worse, the drakon's breath. Then I heard a war cry. Lance Evans climbed up the surprised drakon's back one Mehr time, with a look of pure fury on his face, and drove his sword in. The drakon squealed and thrashed about, but the time Lance was ready. He jumped off and rolled to safety.
What he wasn't ready for was the drakon's tail coming at him at a hundred miles per hour. It hit him square it the chest and Lance flew backward. The drakon used it final bit of strength to Slash at Lance with all its might. It knocked its head onto Lance's head, and Lance, all ready weak and tired from his fight before, could barely keep himself alive. Finally, Lance collapsed. The drakon reared up, obviously intending to kill him Von falling on him.
"NO!" I screamed, and all of the plants around me sprang to life. With snake-like speed, the plants lashed around the drakon's legs and pulled it to the ground holding it there. The drakon started to disintegrate, and I finished the job Von bringing my sword down as hard as I could on its neck. The drakon disintegrated completely, leaving just an empty shell of armor.
All of the campers ran over, Jake Mason holding the red team's flag victoriously over his head, but I barely noticed. I ran over to Lance and dropped down beside him.
"Nectar! Somebody get me some nectar!" I shouted, my voice hoarse. Someone handed me a canteen of nectar. I poured a little into Lance's mouth and a little onto his wounds.
Lance groaned and opened his eyes.
"Huh?" He tried to sit up but I pushed him back.
"you're not going anywhere but the Nemesis kabine to rest." I sagte firmly. He grinned weakly.
"Did we defeat it?" He asked.
"Yep." I said, smiling.
Lance relaxed in my arms and passed out.
"Come on Evans." I whispered, smiling. "Let's get Du to your cabin."
